Oleander Villa is in the traditional Greek village of Spartia. 15 minutes drive from the airport. 20 minutes drive to the capital Argostoli. 5 minutes walk to the village with 2 mini markets and 1 restaurant. 5 minute drive to Spartia beach and 2 other restaurants (beautiful cliff top setting). 10 minutes drive to other lovely beaches, supermarkets and restaurants. Accessibility
The ground floor bedrooms have French doors opening onto the raised terrace with pool and terrace beyond. On the 1st floor are large sliding doors from the lounge open onto the main balcony with beautiful 180° sea and mountain views. 2 smaller side balconies are accessed via French doors. The second floor bedroom has access to a private balcony with breathtaking views.
Outside
The villa is on a quarter acre plot with private driveway with ample parking. Landscaped garden with patio, built-in-BBQ, work surface, sink and fridge within a large pergola with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Your own private pool with 6 sunbeds and plenty of tables and chairs with parasols.
Coast/Beach
Kefalonia has many wonderful beaches and no two alike! Here are a few that we have used; we can recommend you drive to. Spartia 5 mins small, sandy, rocks, gentle sloping sea bed, safe for kids. Trapezaki 10 mins gentle sloping sea bed, safe for kids and beach bar. St. Thomas beach near Karavados 10 mins 2 sandy coves, rocks, gentle sloping sea bed and 3 restaurants. Lourdas 15 mins long sand/shingle beach. Makris Gialos, Lassi 15 mins sandy beach, bar and water sports.
Special interest holidays
Water sports: visit some of the more popular beach resorts such as Lassi - Makris Gialos beach, Poros, Skala and Fiscardo. Boat trips from the many ports around the island. Snorkeling any of the many beaches. Scuba diving at Aquatic world, Agia Efimia. Sea Trek Adventures specialise in quality sailing holidays and walking holidays in Greece. Monte Nero Activities in Svoronata provide sea kayaking, trekking, village walks, mountain biking and more. There are a few horse riding centres on the island. Photography - With the amount of amazing sights and scenery in Kefalonia it is a photographer’s paradise, so don't forget to pack your camera!
Travel
The villa is 20 mins from the airport. To really appreciate this wonderful island, car hire is recommended.
Distances
Walking distances: 2 mins to a snack bar, 20-30 mins walk (estimate) down the steep winding road to the beach, 5 mins to the village centre there is 2 mini markets and 1 restaurant. Driving distances: Spartia beach and harbour with 2 restaurants 2km. Pesada (catch the ferry to Zante) 10 min drive. Kefalonia Airport 7km. Argostoli Port and town 10km. Sami Port and Town 12km. Poros Town 12km.
Further details
Apart from relaxing at our wonderful villa, by the pool, looking at the beautiful view, with a glass of wine in one hand and a book in the other, there are wonderful places to visit, cave lake of Mellissani, Drogarati caves, Myrtos beach, Assos village to name but a few.....
Booking notes
A 20% (non refundable) deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance, along with a £300 security deposit (higher for stays of more than 2 weeks), is to be paid 8 weeks before your holiday. Prices are based on 2 - 6 people in 2 double beds and 2 twin beds. 2 extra people can be accommodated on a sofa bed or a cot - extra charge. Flights not included. Booking up fast for 2012!

Martins, May 2008 Devon, Nicholsons, Sussex, UK. We have been villa holidaying together for 10 years now and Oleander is right at the top with the best. As so many have said before us Cavo Liakas is well worth a visit as too is the Taverna a little out of the village but superb food and service whilst fish and chips at Spartia beach "Sea Breezes" should not be missed.
