Old stone-built two storey Captain's house. This kind of property is rarely found available for rental. Recently renovated to very high standard with marble bathrooms, high ceilings and all modern conveniences. Ideal location for anyone not wishing to hire a car as everything is within easy, flat walking distance. Although there are several restaurants nearby, the house is situated in a tiny, quiet backstreet. There is a small shop within 30 paces where you will find fresh bread every morning as well as vegetables and newspapers. This small fishing village is a living Greek village. There are few tourists and is ideal for anyone wishing to relax and completely unwind. Swimming is just 2 minutes walk from the rocks, otherwise just 10 mins away is a gritty sand beach with a coffee house in the shade of Tamarisk trees. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available to hire. A beach bus runs in season to other local villages and beaches. Bicycle hire close by and Internet cafe 5 mins walk.

Price includes electricity, heating and water all of which are metered. Linen and towels are also included.
Changeover day
Arrival not before 3pm and departure by 10.30 am.
Flexible changeover days but not less than one week's rental considered.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 en-suite with 5' double bed, open fireplace and French doors to upper terrace. Sitting room has 2 x 3' sofas which may be used as beds. High ceilings & thick walls keep the house cool but a huge fan above the bed is there in case of need. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom en-suite to bedroom 1 with full size bath and shower attachment, separate double shower, WC, and 2 wash hand basins. A hairdryer is available in each bathroom. Downstairs is a shower room with wash handbasin and separate WC. |
| Kitchen: | Electric oven and hob, frige/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle. The kitchen has a large, dining area and open fireplace. Every room, upstairs and down, has integrated flyscreens and shutters - guarding against heat & mosquitoes. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine, drying rack for outside use, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | Sitting room with two Greek sofas which may be used as beds. MP3, CD, radio and tape machine also available. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen and towels are included. Linen change is arranged once per week (you may refuse this and do it yourself). It is expected that you will leave the property reasonably clean although cleaning is included at the end of your stay. |

Coast/Beach
The village is on the coast. 2 minutes walk to the nearest swimming. Pantazi beach is a 10-15 minute flat walk. A local beach bus runs throughout the day on a circular route during the main season May - October, visiting other nearby beaches and villages.
Travel
Kalamata is the nearest local airport and charter flights run from May to October from Gatwick (Sundays) and some other European airports. Kalamata is 40 km from the village. At other times of year flights are into Athens which is a beautiful 4 hour drive away. There is a bus from the airport to central Athens and an onward bus journey to Kalamata. Taxis can be arranged to pick up at either Athens or Kalamata. From Patras port, the drive is about 4 hours.
Bicycles are available to hire nearby.
Distances
Olympia, Ancient Messine, Mystras, Diros Caves are easy day trips away. Day trips run from Kardamili 20 minutes away or take a local taxi for a private tour.
Further details
The area is one of the most beautiful in Greece and walkers, birdwatchers and painters alike find plenty to do and see. There are walking groups in Kardamili but the paths are waymarked and maps are available locally.
Bicycle hire within one minute of the house makes travelling to other local villages and beaches easy although cycling on the main road we would consider hazardous for young children.
There are several restaurants all within 5 minutes walk.
Booking notes
Please ask for a booking form. A deposit of £300 is payable on booking and the rental is due four weeks before the date of occupation. The deposit is returnable and held only against major damage or breakage.
