Outside
The villa boasts stunning mature gardens overlooking the sea. There are various outdoor eating areas and walks within the manicured gardens. The BBQ area is in an elevated position benefiting from the stunning views.
Coast/Beach
The main Agios Nikitas beach of sharp white sand and pebble is flanked by hotels and tavernas and seems far less attractive than the village itself. It is quite small and soon gets busy, although you can find quieter spots if you are prepared to clamber over rocks to the north.
Distances
The main road through Agios Nikitas runs down to the beach and is flanked by tavernas and shops. It is traffic-free though, so you must leave your car at the top of the hill and there's not a lot of parking space if you arrive late in the day. Looking back to the village from the Lefkadha road, the bus stop to take the bus into Lefkadha is on the left (be aware that the list of bus times displayed may not be applicable for all of the year). Taxi's to Lefkadha are around 15 euros.
Further details
Agios Nikitas is arguably the prettiest village on Lefkas, on the north west coast. It nestles in a tree-lined gorge, the houses tumbling down the steep hillsides towards the one main, pedestrianised road through the village.
