Villa Marathon Star sits on the top of a hill of Schinias, overlooking a island-like scene which includes islands, a small peninsula, the Aegean Sea and the Nature Park! Nearby it is the historical town Marathon, famous for the Battle of Marathon and the "Marathon Run". The villa has 300m2 living space, a 45 m2 private swimming pool, garden and a children's play area. Six bedrooms (plus an extra) on different levels with spectacular sea or garden views, can comfortably sleep 10-12 persons. Two separate living areas to be used as lounge, TV room, children’s playroom etc. Verandas 200m2 perfect for open air sitting dining or BBQ. The area has numerous fish tavernas, bars, shops and places of historical interest. Shinias beach has fantastic crystal clear water and water sports facilities. Other nice beaches like Marathon Beach and Nea Makri Beach are in a short distance. In 10-50km you can reach Athens, local archeological places, and ports for Evia and Cyclades Islands.

Utility Room: This room contains laundry equipment such as a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing boards and clothes iron. The room is also used for closet organization and storage.
Living Rooms: Upper: 2 dining tables for 12, sitting area with corner sofa, chairs and round built-in sitting arrangement, low stools in front of the fireplace.
Lower: 2 lounge chairs, folding chairs, flat panel TV and DVD player PS2.It can be used also playroom.

Notes on accommodation
There is central heating throughout the whole villa. Normally in the summer there is nice temperature due to a constant breeze. For some exceptions, though, there are two bedrooms air- conditioned, while the rest have movable fans to satisfy those guest who would rather not use air-conditioning. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath. An adjacent room with double sofa bed and a desk can be used for private sitting or children’s bedroom.

Accessibility
The villa is not generally suited for the physically impaired persons due to stairs.

Outside
The Marathon Star villa has 200 m2 verandas, spacious grounds with grass, flower-beds and a nice rocky garden at the back.Grounds with grass are perfect for children's play The swimming pool of 45m2 has sunbeds and umbrellas for relaxing with a magnificent sea and mountain view. All verandas have sitting or dining furniture and movable gas BBQ -perfect for al fresco dining on the warm evenings with the moonlight!

Coast/Beach
Schinias is the best beach in Attica region and ranked among the top ten tourist attractions by Yahoo! It is sandy beach with shallow, crystal clear waters, mostly calm, ideal for children, with a pine forest in the back reaching to the waters edge! Along the beach there are picturesque tavernas serving fresh fish and Greek snacks. All water sports are there! Windsurfing, water ski, wake board,beach volley etc. Schinias rocky coastline has many secluded spots perfect for sunbathing in privacy.

Travel
From Athens International airport It takes 45 minutes to an hour drive to reach the Marathon Star villa.Within a short driving distance you reach all major highways as well as three ports from where you can take trips to several islands. Rafina Port: to Andros, Tinos, Myconos and Paros, Agia Marina Port: To Evia, Piraeus Port: to all destinations. Within a 30 minute drive (or bus ride) you access the metro, in 1 ˝ hours you can reach Corinth and Mycenae, Nafplion etc. Delphi is 2 ˝ hours away.

Distances
Marathon town in 10 km you can find banks, grocery stores, pharmacies, hairdresser etc. You can catch the bus to Athens From Marathon to Athens by bus it takes 60 minutes depending on traffic. The town of Nea makri is another 15 minutes away, with lots of restaurants, shopping. The Marathon museum, the archaeological place of Ramnus, Sounion, the Acropolis, are all within a 15 -60 minute drive.

Further details
All of the area of Schinias is a National Environmental Park characterized by European Union as Environmental Preserve. Marathon Star Villa is located within the planned community THEMIS Residence on the top of the hill of Schinias by the sea. Most of the land within the community set aside as 'green' areas with only about 30% used for building lots. THEMIS Residence is gated with a guard and is very secure. The homes in Schinias range from small to large villas.

There is only one road with little traffic that enters the park and ends to our community. The luck of transit traffic makes everybody in the community to feel very private, very quite, and very safe. Community roads are ideal for jogging and walking. Taking a path along the coast line just a few meters above the sea you will enjoy an unforgettable walk.

3) 500 Euro breakage deposit due on arrival. It will be returned in full before departure, if there is no damage.

4-8 weeks 50% of rate refund
2-4 weeks 25% of rate refund
Less than 2 weeks no refund
Payment usually accepted in Euro, otherwise a special agreement in advance.
