Villa Melanie is one of the very few luxury private villas within a 10 minute stroll into Lindos Village Square. The villa has its own private well stocked garden which includes palms, bouganvillia and a lemon tree and has free access to a number of shared swimming pools where all are welcome...one situated approximately 60m from the bottom of our garden where a private walkway will take you directly there. The villa also boasts a huge traditional Greek BBQ and seating area. The villa is situated on a private road in a very peaceful and relaxing location and has its own car port. A well stocked mini market is only a 2 minute walk from the villa. The views of the Acropolis lit up in the evening are spectacular! Villa Melanie is one of the very few luxury villas that has such close proximity to Lindos village that car hire is an option rather than a necessity. A taxi from the airport will cost 36 euros and our friendly management team will be on call throughout your stay.

Long term winter lets available. Some short break slots of 3/4 nights may be available dependent on availability as are 10/11 night rentals if required.
Changeover day
Changeover day is on a Saturday or Wednesday. Short breaks of 3-4 nights may be available dependant on availability. Stays of longer than two weeks may be discounted dependent on the time of year.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed and private balcony with table and chairs. Bedroom 2 with twin beds and private balcony with table and chairs. Both have fantastic storage with large double wardrobes. Each bedroom has it's own remote air conditioning unit. |
| Bathrooms: | Downstairs bathroom with a shower cubicle toilet and basin and fully equipped. Upstairs bathroom with fullsize bath with overhead shower, vanity unit and toilet. Both bathrooms marble tilled throughout. |
| Kitchen: | Open plan lounge/kitchen with 2 sets of double doors to the large sunny veranda. There is a dining table for 6 guests. Full fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooker and hob, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, sandwich toaster. Everything you will need. |
| Utility Room: | There is a fully automatic washing machine hidden under the staircase. Although the washing machine may not be required... it is available if needed! |
| Living Rooms: | Sofabed, dining table, DVD , stereo sound system mp3 compatible, plasma screen TV with satellite system with UK channels, fully air conditioned, very tastefully decorated with marble tiles throughout including a solid marble staircase imported from Italy. |
| Other: | Store room under the staircase for your suitcases etc. A travel cot is also available for the younger guests. Various games and a small collection of DVDs and CDs for all tastes and ages provided. Large cool-bag for those days out and about. |

Linen and towel changes once per week. The maid service is once a week - prior to your arrival and during a 14 day stay. |
Notes on accommodation
The internal design takes advantage of contemporary living whilst maintaining a traditional Lindian village house look. It is situated in a very quiet, peaceful area (no noisy roads/traffic!) where you may encounter roaming goats and donkeys as your neighbours! Yet only mins walk away from Lindos village! If there are any problems during your stay there will be telephone numbers available for you to contact. An information pack will be sent to you before your holiday. This includes information including maps and general information to help you plan out your holiday in advance. Please note that the prices are fully inclusive of air conditioning, all electricity, water and there are no hidden costs. A safety deposit box is also included free of charge.
Accessibility
Although not purposely designed for weelchair access the villa has a very gently sloping driveway that has access to the front of the villa. From here three steps will have to be negotiated for access to the lower floor of the villa. Please see villa photo. The lower floor has full shower room including toilet and vanity unit/mirror.
Outside
Beautiful (automatically watered) gardens set in a peaceful location with large tiled veranda and pergola. Private, very large masonary BBQ complete with traditional stone bench situated on a separate part of the garden. Large hardwood table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining. Spectacular views of the sea and the Acropolis from the balconies. The garden has a blend of lemon trees, palms, bouganvillia, hibiscus, herbs and many pretty flowers and shrubs.
Coast/Beach
Both Lindos main beach and the stunning St.Pauls Bay are approx 15 mins walk away.
Golf
Afandou golf course is approx 25 min by car where a round will only cost 35 euro and is open all year round.
Special interest holidays
The villa is an excellent place to rent if you are getting married at St.Pauls Bay as the standard of accommodation would make it a perfect retreat for a wedding party reception or honeymoon! Why not hire a local chef and have a bbq reception in the garden or use for pre-wedding champagne reception. We can arrange for champagne (and flutes) to be delivered to the villa in any quantity and at supermarket cost only!!!
Travel
Rhodes airport is approx 40km away and a 40 mins drive by car/taxi. Unlike most of the villas for rent in the area, car hire is not necessary due to the extremely close vicinity to Lindos Village and all the amenities it has to offer! Taxi fare from the airport to the villa is 36 euros. Help with car hire is available if necessary as we can often negotiate a discount.
Distances
10-12 mins walk to Lindos Square for a multitude of bars and tavernas. 15 mins walk to Lindos beach and St. Pauls Bay beach. Rhodes town is a 45 mins drive away. The airport is 40 minutes drive away. Nearest supermarket is 150m from the villa a slightly larger supermarket is a 4 minute walk from the villa. Nearest bars and restaurants are a 5 minute walk.
Further details
The major advantage to renting our villa is not only the very high standard of accommodation and lifestyle that it has to offer. It also boasts a very close proximity to Lindos village whilst maintaining the peace and quiet that one has come to expect whilst being on holiday. Whilst many villas claim to be in or near Lindos you may find that in actual fact this may mean up to 5 km away. However at Villa Melanie there is no waiting for those elusive taxis as the stroll down hill to the village takes approximately 10 minutes whilst the stroll back after an evening in the village may take a minute or two longer!! The location makes care hire totally unnecessary. Cash machine and main bus stop within 700m. Restaurants and tavernas are a ten minute walk from the villa. There are six swimming pools within a five minute walk of the villa that are open to all customers free of charge and include free use of sun loungers.
Booking notes
Bookings taken all year round. 25% at time of booking, balance 8 weeks prior to departure. There is also an £100 security bond - this is held by the owner and returned to you immediately after your holiday (providing no damage has occurred) this needs to be sent with the 25% deposit. Full details of the booking conditions will be sent in our booking contract.Please note that we accept that accidents will happen and items get broken. The deposit is to deter willful damage or missing items only.

‘We stayed at Villa Melanie in May and were VERY impressed with what we found, it was a lovely villa well situated just outside of the village 9 mins walk into the village itself. We wanted for nothing whilst at the villa all the mod cons where provided during our stay, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, iron, coffee maker etc Plasma TV, DVD, Hi Fi system Etc. The gardens get the sun all day long from 7am in the morning until around 18.30 in the evening and is an Ideal relaxation spot. There is use of a pool at the end of the garden which is Ideal again for a quick dip to cool down. The accommodation can rightly be described as a luxury villa, and we will definitely be booking again in the future’ Bill/Michelle Simon
