Towels, beach towels, and linen are included. The villa is cleaned between lettings and the linen is changed weekly. More frequent cleaning is available by arrangement. |

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning in the living room. Every room has a ceiling fan. The villa is suitable for families with children, for honeymooners, for sightseers, ramblers and birdwatchers.
Accessibility
Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, because of the steps around the villa
Outside
The patio area around the private swimming pool (4m x 6m) has 4 sunbeds and an umbrella. There are 2 gardens (upper and lower) , and off street parking. Also there are other 2 patios, one near the pool and the other one in the front of the villa. Patio table with 6 chairs.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 5 minutes drive.
Golf
There is a golf course in about 30 minutes drive from the villa.
Travel
Rethymno is situated roughly half way between the islands 2 airports in Herklion and Chania. It is 50 minutes to Herklion and 45 minutes to Chania.
Distances
Adele village is 1 minute by car. Rethymno is a 10 minutes drive. Car hire is a must but here you are well positioned to see most of the island.
Further details
Crete is the most southerly of the Greek islands and is blessed with a lovely climate, lovely beaches, high mountains, breathtaking views and an amazing history. Also the food is great. Walking, cycling, diving, horse-riding, and sea fishing are available locally.

Thank you for letting us use your lovely villa. We all had a great time; we found the people very welcoming and friendly, the weather was fantastic and there was so much to do. We loved the villa terrace - a great place to sit and relax and it was never too hot up there. We found some wonderful restaurants and, with the villa being placed near the middle of the island, we were able to get to both the east and west coasts. We particularly enjoyed going to Elounda (+ Spinalonga) and Elafonisi. The car hire company were very efficient, friendly and helpful.
Thanks again - we really enjoyed our time there - so much so that we hope to return next year. We don't know dates yet but will contact you again once we know. Derek Rodgers July 2010
We stayed in sunset villa in June. Everything was very well organised. The villa is extremely well-run. Thanks to the owner and his team who organises the house. The car hire people are very friendly. Never had a better place to relax,

About the owner
My name is Ibrahim, I am British/Egyptian. I work as a finance analyst and management accountant. I bought Sunset Villa 5 years ago. It's not just a holiday home for me, it's much more than that. I picked Crete because I use to go there each summer holiday when I was student in Alexandria University. I use to work in farms, restaurants and hotels. I made loads of friends and I speak the Greek language. It was a dream for me to build a house in Crete as I felt it was my home. I came from a very poor background and this would be my first house ever. I finished at university then went to the UK to specialise in management accounts. Worked very hard, saved some money, then went back to look for a plot of land and built with a new vision in my mind of a holiday home.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I went to many places in Crete to buy the plot of land I had imagined, but nothing really moved me.
One day I went to see a plot in Agia Triada village, when I arrived there and stood on the land, I said "wow!". I said yes immediately, it was exactly what I wanted, near the beach, supermarkets and restaurants, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. (It is only half a mile.) The views from where I stood were magical. It's very strange how you can feel that you are related to a place from the first visit, you just feel at home. I had a lot of input in designing the villa, so I feel it is my baby! I wanted to make the villa different to other holiday homes. I wanted people to feel at home, relaxed, at peace and to enjoy every minute of their holiday.
Unique benefits of the property
A holiday in sunset villa will re-charge your batteries because of the fresh air, peace and quiet. The villa is surrounded with magical views of the sea, mountains, olive groves and across the valley. Where ever you are in the villa you will enjoy the views. Even when you are in the sitting room having a drink you will see the valley. This is one of the benefits you get in sunset villa and you wouldn't be able to get it in many other places due to the location of the villa. It is high on a hill so you can have great views from anywhere. If you go up to the roof terrace there are 2 even bigger benefits; number 1 the views are even better, and number 2, you will have more time in the sun while other surrounding villas have no sun around late afternoon.
