Villa Thymarmi is 30 minutes by car from Heraklion of Crete and only a few minutes drive from the resort of Gouves and the beach. It is set in a very quiet location, in its own gardens with spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding olive groves and mountains. It is built on three levels, each level with own entrance. It has a private swimming pool, a smaller children’s pool and outdoors sitting and eating areas, as well as a very large living room and dining room. Villa Thymarmi is suitable also for people who like sport activities, such as ping-pong, basketball, water-polo. Because of the beautiful distances and nature around the villa, people who like walking, jogging or even cycling, they will just love it! As the villa is set in a very quiet location, car hire is strongly recommended. The villa is fully air-conditioned.

Notes on accommodation
The house is tastefully furnished and decorated. All towels and bed linen are provided. A welcome basket will be waiting for you on the first day of your arrival.There are solar panels for free hot water. As it is built on three levels, it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Pets are welcome.

12ft x 30ft swimming pool, and a smaller children’s pool. Outdoor stone built sitting areas, with stone-built BBQ and stone built outdoor oven. Garden furniture, 2 outdoor wc's. Sea and mountain views.

10 minutes drive from the sandy beach of Gouves.

There is a golf course less than 20 minutes drive from the villa.

Villa Thymarmi is ideally located for those who are looking for a beach or a summer holiday. As it is situated in a very quiet location with virtually no passing traffic, it is ideal for families with children. or people who like privacy and nature. Crete is one of the largest islands of the Mediterranean and home to one of the oldest civilizations, the Minoan civilization. Knossos, the capital of the Minoans is 30 minutes by car. The antiquities from Knossos and the other ancient sites of Crete are housed in Heraklion museum, only second to Athens museum in importance in Greece. An absolute must! The biggest aquarioum of the Mediterranean, the Cretaquarioum, with an unbelievable variety of sea plants and fish, is only 15 minutes by car. The 2 biggest water parks of Crete are really close to the villa. A cool idea for the hot days of the summer!
Travel
Heraklion International Airport is approximately 15 Km away. The last 2 km are on dirt road. Transfers as well as car hire can be arranged.
Distances
The resort of Gouves is only a few minutes away by car. The resorts of Hersonissos and Malia are less than 10 miles away. The resort of Elounda from where you can visit the historical island of Spina Longa, is about 60 minutes away.

Villa Thymarmi is very quietly situated, but not far from amenities.It is run by the Farsari family, who live in Heraklion and will be there to welcome you and help you with local knowledge and provide any assistance required.
