The seaside resort of Stoupa has a year round mild climate and is located one hours drive south-east of Kalamata. Stoupa caters for the quieter family market. The apartments are set in the olive groves in the picturesque village of Lefktron, just above Stoupa, and at the base of the Taygetos mountains, yet only 500m from the seafront and village amenities. The apartments are part of a small complex for long term (over 3 months) and short term (1 week or more) stays with living areas between 43 and 60 sq.m. The complex has views of the surrounding mountains and olive groves, parking area, balconies or paved patio areas with gardens. The apartments were built on 2005 and all have an open-plan living room and kitchen/diner equipped for comfort and ease of use for your self catering stay.

Notes on accommodation
All our apartments have air-conditioning/heating units with an additional floor standing fan. The windows are all double glazed with fly screens. There is communal use of a washing machine and each apartment has its own iron and ironing board, television and CD/radio. The water supply is plentiful and safe as it comes directly from the mountain springs. Solar panels heat the water with an electric immersion back-up. No smoking inside the apartments please and no pets. Sheets & towels are changed twice a week and the apartment is cleaned twice weekly.
Outside
The apartments and owners accommodation are set within their own private, gated area of 1600 sq.m. Each apartment has its own private terrace and grassed seating area with garden table and chairs plus parasol. Guests can take advantage of a portable BBQ on request. The owners live on site all year and try to make your holiday a home from home, and are on hand for help and advise (they are usually found pottering in the garden which is a mix of shrubberies, lawn and vegetable areas).
Coast/Beach
The apartments lie below the village of Lefktron, a 10 minute walk through the olive groves to the sandy beaches of Stoupa and Kalogria where you can swim most of the year. The beaches are suitable for children as the sand slopes gently into the water at Kalogria and there is a sheltered cove at the end of Stoupa beach. The only water sports are pedaloes, canoes and small boats which can be hired to explore the rugged coastline.
Travel
The nearest airport is Kalamata which is an hours drive away (open May to October). Alternately there are daily flights into Athens all year round (4.5 hours drive). Stoupa is very well equipped for day to day needs but if you wish to sight-see then a car can be hired locally or there are organised coach trips around the area. Ferries come into Patras from Italy approx. 5 hours drive away.

Further details
The picturesque village of Stoupa with its fishing harbour is ideal for those wanting a quiet well catered for break as it has many tavernas (some open all year), supermarkets, chemist, bakeries, ice cream parlours and tourist shops. There is no bank in the village but we do have a hole in the wall and money can be exchanged in local travel agencies or the supermarket. There are two doctors surgeries in Stoupa and the health centre is only 4km away in the neighbouring fishing village of Ag. Nikolaos (km)
Booking notes
Please check availability of accommodation with the owners either by e-mail or on the telephone. Bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 50 Euro/week (£35) non refundable deposit into either a Greek or English bank account. The balance is due 2 weeks before arrival date by transfer into our bank account or a cheque drawn on either a sterling or Euro account. Alternately cash in Euros can be paid on arrival. There is a 50 Euro cleaning deposit, repayable if the apt. is left clean and tidy.

Many thanks for your hospitality. Oveipo is wonderful - location, standard, facilities -everything required for perfect holidays and Stoupa is superb. Your chocolate cake was great. We've travelled a lot in Europe and outside but, for some reason, it was our first visit to Greece. Probably the best holidays ever.
