New one bedroom first floor apartment with two balconies, shared use of large swimming pool, tennis court and direct access to the beach. The apartment is finished to the highest standard with solid oak floors, a cherry wood kitchen fully equipped with Miele appliances. Benefiting from full air conditioning. It is an easy level walk into Argostoli over the historic Venetian causeway. Argostoli has all the activities of an island capital including a full range of shopping, restaurants, bars and tavernas for all tastes and a vibrant nightlife. Argostoli is centrally located on the green island of Kefalonia and with a car a wide range of beaches can be reached within 30 minutes drive from the apartment in any direction.

Changeover day
We are flexible about changeover day. Our preference is for arrivals any time after 3pm and departures by 11 am. We will accommodate difficult flight times wherever possible.

Outside
Sun loungers and chairs are provided for the balconies. The shared swimming pool is approximately 15x10ms. The tennis court is shared with the other residents. The whole complex has direct access to a beach and sea.
Coast/Beach
The popular sandy beaches of Lassi are within 10 minutes drive. The iconic Myrtos Beach is 30 minutes drive away as is Antisamos beach, made famous in the film of Captain Corellis Mandolin. Argostoli is centrally located on the island and most sights and beaches can be reached within 45 minutes drive from the apartment.
Travel
The apartment is located 15 minutes drive from the airport. Car hire is recommended for visitors to the island. However for non-drivers the Argostoli bus station is 15 minutes level walk from the apartment. The local bus company KTEL provide services throughout the island towns and villages. There is a regular and frequent bus service from Athens. We can arrange car hire, taxis and other support on request.
Distances
The main island capital, Argostoli, is a level 15 minutes walk.
Booking notes
All bookings paid in full at the time of booking receive a 10% discount (unless made less than 8 weeks ahead). 20% of the payment will be retained in the event of a cancellation. When payment in full is not made at the time of booking a non-refundable 20% deposit is required with the balance to be paid 8 weeks ahead of the booking date. Bookings made less than 8 weeks ahead will need to be paid in full. A returnable damage deposit of £100 (150 euros) is also required.

About the owner
We are Morris and Sarah Richards living in Hampshire UK. We have spent a great deal of time out in Kefalonia where Morris, an architect in UK, has designed and built two stunning modern villas in the north of the island (www.velanidiavillas.com) as well as being involved in a number of property activities in Kefalonia.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought the apartment as a bolt hole for us both particularly to use during the out of season. We love the ease of access into Argostoli, over a causeway built by Victorian Brits and the sense of being part of 'real Greece' not just tourist Greece. Being able to walk in the evening for a good meal and excellent wine without thinking about drink driving is a real bonus.
We often take my elderly mother as well and the level access to the town means that she can share in the Greek experience.
Unique benefits of the property
One of the best things about the apartment is sitting on the balcony, with a drink, watching the sun go down over Lixouri, the lights come on in Argostoli and the boats moving around in the harbour. It is truly relaxing.
