The Barn is so called because it originally started it's life as a place to store hay and grain for our horse, donkey, goats and chickens. However, as we gradually switched our source of income from animals and an organic garden to providing accommodation for those looking for peace and quiet, we slowly converted the barn into the modern house which it has now become. It is surrounded by fruit trees, oleanders, Virginia creeper, vines and flowering shrubs. There is a large shady patio and another sitting area under the shade of a large pine tree. We have incorporated as much wood, terracotta and native materials as was possible during the conversion and it has developed a distinctive character all of it's own. It is situated in its own grounds providing complete privacy. The accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen and open-plan living room with French doors leading out to the patio. There is a bathroom with bath and shower and a smaller bathroom with just shower facilities.

Prices are for up to 6 people. An extra 25 euros per day will be charged for a 7th person.
Changeover day
Fridays preferred but we can be flexible about this.

The villa is ideal for families and very safe for children.
Accessibility
The ground floor has 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom and is suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside
The shared pool is 12 x 4.5 metres and has depths from 80 centimetres to 2 metres. No diving is allowed.
Sun beds and umbrellas are provided and the pool terrace has a large BBQ area.
Coast/Beach
Within 7 minutes drive are 10 sandy beaches including the famous beaches of Koukounaries and Banana. The nearest beach of Aselinos is 30 minutes walk away.
Special interest holidays
Cookery classes, painting classes, walks, horse riding, boat trips, tennis can all be provided.
Travel
Many charter flights direct into Skiathos International airport. Ferries and hydrofoils run regularly throughout the season.

To reserve a booking, a 20% deposit is required with the balance payable 8 weeks before the arrival date.

About the owner
We (Lida and Geof Baldry) have lived here for over 35 years and have spent that time creating an environment which has all the creature comforts but still feels like the unspoiled Greece which we have come to love. We started with no road, no water and no house, but we dug our own well and carried the materials for our first (wooden) house by horse and donkey along the narrow track that eventually became our road. We now have 3 very solid houses built of stone and wood, bricks and mortar, running water, electricity, telephone and even an internet connection, but we have a special appreciation of all these "normal" things by having had to struggle hard to achieve them. We have come to value the peace and quiet here, above everything else.
