The villa has an uninhibited view of the sea with large verandas facing out toward the the gulf of Messinia, on the south east of the most westernly Peleponnese finger, looking towards the Mani. Peloponnese sits on the end of the Balkans which start in Vienna. Messinia sits at the tip of the Peleponnese and Koroni is as far south as you can go without leaving the mainland. So, for those of you who like to get the end of a road, this is it!

Notes on accommodation
We have an air-conditioning unit in each villa, we also provide fans for our guests. We can provide cots for people travelling with small children. Tour guide, books, general help and advice on tap!
Accessibility
None of the villa have stairs, but there is a small step at each external entrance.
Outside
The villa has a private veranda with access from the living and bedroom areas. The veranda is furnished with tables and some comfortable chairs. The villas sit in 4000sq.m gardens stocked with colourful flowers, citrus fruit and vines. The area between the villas is paved. As well as the bathroom showers, the villa has outdoor showers to keep the sand outside. Villa has its own shaded parking space under the vines.
Coast/Beach
600m walk to Gargarou beach. Another 300m will take you to beach tavernas in Peroulla village.
Golf
Golf fans can play (subject to booking) at Costa Navarino the new course near Pylos designed by Bernhard Langer. Pylos is 40 minutes drive from Saintfridays.
Special interest holidays
We are in Greece so sunshine, beaches and great food come as standard. Saint Fridays is located in Messenia, an ancient region with sites from Mycenaean, Roman, Venetian and Ottoman and Byzantine eras. For history buffs, walkers and the beach lovers, the area offers a treasure trove of delights.
Travel
Kalamata Airport May to October 40km, 45 minutes drive or we can arrange a taxi for you. Athens Airport 250km 4 hours drive ( Motorway much improved, it now goes as far as Paradesia, beyond Megalopoli) . Patras Port 150km 4 hours drive. Car or moped hire is essential to fully enjoy your holiday. We can help you book cars from Koroni, Kalamata or Athens.
Distances
0.6m from Gargarou Beach. 1km to Peroulla on foot along beach for local tavernas. 5km by road to Koroni 'the Lindos of the Peloponnese' complete with crusader castles and convent and stepped winding streets.

1km Harokopio for a full range of tavernas, cafes, shops, Doctor, Dentist, kafeneo and a popular Sunday morning market.

About the owner
The Strong family take turns to run Saintfridays. The early and late parts of the season are managed by Andreas and Sylvia and the peak season is managed by Paul and Hilary - assisted by the next generation.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We always loved the area, Paul cycled here in the early 1980's and as a couple we drove here on our way to Cyprus - as you do. It struck us as a bastion of traditional Greece. There is some tourism but not a lot, its very quiet in the winter and has a buzz about the place in the summer. We came to take a sabbatical from the 9-5 and it gave the children a chance to learn Greek properly.
