Coast/Beach
The picturesque Perulia beach is just a five minute stroll away.

Windsurfing is available on nearby Zaga Beach and boat trips can be arranged. A new golf resort will open in May 2010 near Pylos, about 45 minutes away. For more detailed information please view our website.

For lovers of the countryside there are inland walks through sleepy villages and wonderful waterfalls and gorges to explore .

Travel
Just three and a half hours drive from Athens airport or 40 minutes from the airport at Kalamata we are conveniently situated to enjoy the many glorious beaches along this stretch of coastline as well as fascinating archaeological sites such as ancient Messini, Mystras, the Venetian forts of Koroni and Methoni and the magnificent harbour town of Pylos.

Further details
Vounaria has a well stocked village shop plus two kafenions and there are two tavernas on Peroulia Beach. There are large supermarkets and pharmacies in Nea Koroni, Harakopio and Koroni, all within a 5-10 minute drive. Koroni also has banks, ATM machines, a large post office and an excellent range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants as well as its fascinating 13thC castle and convent which are well worth exploring.

About the owner
In 2008 we bought a terraced hillside overlooking the Bay of Messinia and set about developing plans for a very special small resort in this beautiful and unspoilt area of the Peleponnese. Working with a talented architect and his team of local craftsmen BanSala was completed early in 2010. We are an English family with wide experience in the hospitality industry. This includes running our own boutique hotel in Sri Lanka, where we lived for several years, and management roles in luxury spas and wellness centres in Thailand. Come and enjoy this very special place. We look forward to welcoming you to BanSala and a holiday to remember.
