Villa Olivia is a beautiful, traditionally built property, it enjoys a peaceful location with wonderful forest, mountain and sea views. The villa comprises of two houses. The main house is open plan with fully fitted kitchen, living room, wireless internet, stairs leading to a mezzanine floor with sofa bed, TV, DVD, CD player, viewing gallery and balcony. Double bedroom located on the ground floor and can be accessed either from the pool area or the living room, with air-conditioning and en-suite shower/WC. The guest cottage is located under the main terrace, and is accessed from the pool area via steps leading through the garden to a private graveled court yard, shaded with vines and Bougainvillea. Inside is an open plan kitchen/living room with tea and coffee making facilities, two single beds, wardrobe, en-suite shower/WC. Villa Olivia is located in Klima at the end of a concrete road with parking. Glossa with its shops and restaurants is about a 5 min drive.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Friday. Arrival not before 2pm. Departure from property 11am latest. All this is flexible, please contact us with your requirements.

Notes on accommodation
Both properties are air conditioned, the main house leads directly to the private terrace and pool area, the pool area is unfenced and young children must be supervised at all times. The guest cottage is located under the main terrace and has its own graveled courtyard, access to the pool area is via steps.
Accessibility
The main villa is suitable for people with mobility problems, a car can be parked at the villa, access to the main house, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, dinning/living room, pool and terrace are all on the same level.
Outside
Outside Villa Olivia has a 10x4 meter unheated private swimming pool with entry/exit ladders. The terrace area has ample space for sun-loungers, dining table and chairs. The outside BBQ is conveniently situated next to the outside kitchen area. Potted plants,climbing bougainvilleas, citrus and almond trees decorate the terrace and surrounding garden areas. Sun-loungers, sun umbrella, dining table and chairs are provided.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is Loutraki about 15 mins drive. There are many beaches around the island mostly shingle or pebbles with a few being sandy. The best beaches are only accessible from the sea, boat hire can be arranged locally.
Travel
The nearest airport is located on the neighboring island of Skiathos, about 20-30 min boat ride away. Taxi from Skiathos airport to the ferry port is about 10 min and will cost approx 7-10 euro.
Car hire is highly recommended getting around Skopelos for sight seeing and daily provisions, however the public bus and taxi service provide good access to many beaches and places of interest.
Cost of car hire varies between 35-55 euros per day depending on type of vehicle and holiday season.

Glossa 10 mins drive this village has many supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and tavernas.
Agios Yannis (St John) 15min drive, the small chapel on the rock used in the film of Mama Mia.
Kastani beach 10 min drive, sandy beach used in the film of Mama Mia. Panormos bay 15 min drive, stunning pebble beach and tavernas, perfect for evening dinning alfresco on the beach. Loutraki 15 min drive, small port with many traditional fishing boats, a nice sand and shale beach and sea front tavernas.
Further details
Glossa is the nearest village 10 min drive. Here you will find a selection of tavernas and restaurants, bakeries, variety of supermarkets and hardware stores. A 24 hour ATM cash machine, Doctors surgery and pharmacy can also be found on the main high street. Free car parking apposite the petrol station. Elios is the second closest village 10 min drive. Here you can also find tavernas and bakeries along with 24 hour ATM cash machine but no pharmacy or Doctors surgery. Skopelos Town is 40 min drive South, this is the main ferry port for departures and arrivals from Skiathos and the Greek mainland. Endless supply of cafes, bars and tavernas, art and clothes shops for your tourist nic nacs. The island boast hundreds of monasteries some of which are still inhabited. Doctors, dentists, banks, police and other emergency services are all located in Skopelos Town.

The views and house are the best we have found after nearly 40 years of visiting many different parts of mainland Greece and its islands. We almost could not believe the panoramic views when we first arrived and continue to be amazed....

About the owner
We are Yvonne and Neil, we moved to Glossa about 3 years ago to start a new life. Things are going well and the villagers here have been very welcoming. We will be on hand to welcome you and look after you during your stay. When we first arrived we spent the winter renovating our house, which was nothing more than four walls and a few Kastani beams where the floor had once been. A team of local builders put on a new roof and balcony, then with plenty of advice from the locals, blood, sweat and tears! we proceeded to do the rest of the work. This area of Skopelos faces Skiathos and the Greek mainland, we enjoy the most spectacular views and amazing sunsets. The local people are warm and welcoming while retaining their traditional ways. Glossa boasts some of the best tavernas and restaurants on Skopelos, all with amazing views.
