The property is situated 2 1/2 hours from Athens international airport. It's a new modern semi-detached village house with sea view from both sides. It comprises of 2 apartments with separate private entrances. This spotless house is ideal for quiet families or couples that what to relax in a comfortable place and explore the area too. It can accommodate up to 10 people. It's situated very close to 3 islands, archaeological sites and many sandy beaches. The property is ideally situated within walking distance of the town centre (tavernas/shops/beaches) and the harbour (10 min). At the same time it is placed in a quite area with easy parking and almost no cars passing through. There are many sandy beaches all around our area, that you have to explore and choose from. Ermioni village is a very good base for visiting many famous historical sites (Nafplio city, Epidavros Ancient Theater, Mycenae) and 3 islands which you can access easily (Hydra, Spetses and Poros).

Notes on accommodation
The house comprises of three floors with each apartment in a separate floor. The 3rd floor is sometimes occupied by the owner of the house. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly with almost no cars passing by. All floors have the same sea view of the Ermioni port and the village. They are all independent, private and have separate secure gated entrances.
A baby cot is available if required.
Bed linen and towels will also be provided (not changed) weekly.
There is optional wifi connection.
Accessibility
The PineTree House is not suitable for people with mobility problems, since there are an 9 marble steps on the entrance of the property. You are advised to rent a car to visit and see places around our area. Walking to the town is very nice and easy through the 'old town'. However, don't try to carry things back from the town since it is a bit uphill. The distance to the town center/shops/stores/etc is only about 500m.
Outside
There is very easy parking just outside the house. The area is very safe although each apartment has its own gated entrance.
the property in only 150 meters from a small forest with a couple of churches to visit. You can access the center of the village by car (3 min) or on foot (10 min) either from the north or the south side. The view from the entrance veranda is to the sea (main port) and the village itself.
The small road in front of the house has almost no traffic.
Coast/Beach
There are a couple of swimming places within walking distance (in the village) but the best places are situated within 5-20 minutes drive. The choices are numerous and include pebble and sandy beaches, big and small private beaches.
We are surrounded by a huge coast line with many places to swim, private or not.
Golf
No Golf but here are some other available sports: There is a full size synthetic football ground in the village and it can be seen from the house. There are also 2-3 places for tennis that can be booked at low cost (10 euros/hour) and only 5-20 minutes away. Sea sports can also be found in 2-3 different places.
There is enough exploring to do in the town itself to keep you happily occupied for some time. The town is a maze of small streets, cobbled paths, steps and steep concrete roads that you have to scramble up.
Skiing
Sorry no skiing but water skiing is possible in a couple of nearby places.
Travel
To Ermioni by Car.
It takes about 2 1/2 hours by any means of transfer you choose. Driving time from the airport to Ermioni is approximately 2.5 hours. The first part is on the new motorway. The second part is through the mountains and pine tree forests. On the way to Ermioni you'll meet the Corinth Canal and the historical site of Epidavros.
To Ermioni by Hydrofoil.
From Piraeus Port the hydrofoils to Ermioni would take 2 hours via Poros and Hydra island.
We advice that you rent a car.
Distances
Ermioni is the closest to Athens holiday area that has so much to offer (2 hours). The village of Ermioni is a beautiful traditional village that sits on an peninsular opposite the island of Hydra.
The Pine Tree House is the good base for visiting many well known historical sites: Nafplio city (1 h), the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros (45 min), the Mycenae Archeological site and Museum (1.5 h). Daily visits to the island of Hydra (20 min), the beautiful island of Spetses (30 min).
Further details
Ermioni is a small town in the North Eastern Peleponese, situated in a gorgeous position along a headland. Ermioni is a working Greek town, and while there is a certain amount of tourism here the town isn't focused solely around that, which makes it lively and more interesting. The tourist season is July and August, and a lot of the tourists are Greeks.
There are deep bays on both sides, and the island of Hydra on the sky line. The inlets and headlines along this bit of the Peloponese - between Galatas/Poros and Porto Heli - make for very beautiful and dramatic views.
Ermioni is built out over a long spit of land, with a pine forest, the 'Bisti' at the far end. The port side has a fishing harbor, shops, school, banks, cafes and tavernas.
The other side of the headland, Mandraki, has a real island feel to it, with cafes and tavernas lining a pretty harbor front.
The Bisti is a pine forest with a lovely walk all the way round, little pebbly bathing coves with sparkly clear water, and the remains of an ancient site. In march the Bisti was covered in flowers, and was a delight to walk around. Swimming is possible from the rocks and coves, but there are no sandy beaches in Ermioni itself, although you can reach beaches easily by car
Ermiopoli has lots of good places to eat, and cafes along both the port and in Mandraki. There is a very lively local market along the harbour on the port side of town every Thursday.

Payments can be made in Euros by bank transfers. 25% deposit must be paid to confirm booking. Final payment 8 weeks before arrival. Included in the price: welcome pack, water, electricity, air-conditioning/central heating, bedroom linen, bathroom/kitchen/beach towels. Wireless Internet at 30 euros/week. Cleaning costs of 50 Euros payable for short stays (< 2 weeks). Refundable damage deposit of 250 Euros. Personal laundry at 7 euros per load. Strictly no smoking and no animals.

About the owner
I am an engineer working in the area of telecommunications and marketing. I have lived and studied in the UK which I visit often. Me, my wife and our 15 year old son live and work in Athens. However, Ermioni is our home town which we visit many weekends and spend most of our vacations.
We all like sports (tennis, football,) and travelling in Greece and abroad. In the summer we enjoy snorkeling and fishing.
We also like growing vegetables, cooking, swimming and fishing.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
My wife and myself saved up, designed and had the place built by 2005. My wife grew up in Ermioni just down the road from the house, where her family still lives. We love our property. It's the place where we also come to relax away from the big city of Athens.
Unique benefits of the property
Modern, very comfortable and spotless place. It's more of a home and definitely not a hotel. Many very nice places to swim. Some very nice places to eat.
Situated in the quietest area of the village with easy parking (unlike the rest of the village). Cool place even in the hottest days during summer. Very peaceful and relaxing during the mild winter.
