This lovely 2 bedroomed villa in the village of Metaxata, South West of Kefalonia, is ideally located for touring this beautiful Island. Full cooker, washing machine, large fridge freezer and air conditioning. Metaxata is only (10 kilometers) 10 minutes drive from the capital Argostoli and the busy resort of Lassi. A variety of lovely sandy beaches and the airport are 10 to 15 mins away. The fortress of Saint George the old capital of Kefalonia is close by and has spectacular views. There is a small supermarket and a Gyro/Souvlaki bar in the village and a Taverna close (5 minutes walk. Lakithra the next village (1 Km)has supermarket, bakery, Pizza/Greek Restaurant and Cafe. Also Mouikis Village which offers swimming pool, tennis courts and bar for public use.

Avithos Beach
Avithos is a rural area where olive trees and citrus orchards abound. A rocky outcrop divides the long sandy beaches of Avithos and Megalipetra, with the whole coastline facing the tiny island of Dias with views over to Zakynthos on a clear day.
The area of Avithos and the village of Svoronata nearby is perfect for people who enjoy walking in the countryside and discovering the wealth of herbs, flowers and birds to be found in this area. There are orchards and olive groves amid the pine trees, which offer shade for early morning or evening walkers.
For beach lovers, the sea at Avithos and Megalipetra is shallow and the beaches are generally uncrowded making it a safe haven for children. At Avithos Beach there is a family run taverna by the beach which opens for the summer and in high season a small cantina parks on the beach serving drinks and is open into the night with another taverna near by.
