This beautiful villa is located in a lovely and quiet olive grove. Due to its high location it has an amazing view of the whole Messinian bay, the Taygetos mountains and nearby beaches. High standard inside the house being our personal vacation home. A 10 minute walk from wonderful sandy beaches. It’s a quiet and romantic place, ideal for one or two couples, for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. Excellent location as a base to explore the Peloponnese with all its archaeological sites as ancient Olympia, Mystras, ancient Messini etc.

Changeover day
Mainly weekends but this can be discussed for longer or shorter periods of rental.

Accessibility
One small step down to front door. Door wide enough for wheelchair and one bathroom located on ground floor.
Outside
The villa is quietly located in an olive grove accessed by a private road. From the upstairs roofed terrace, equipped with marble table and chairs, the view is fantastic over the sea, beaches and the Taygetos mountains. If you are up early the sunrise is spectacular behind the mountains. The unroofed balcony on the backside gives shade in the morning during summer months. Sun chairs, beach mats, beach umbrellas, cool box etc available. A big terrace outside the bedrooms is ideal for reading or relaxing in the shade during hot summer afternoons.
Coast/Beach
The whole coastline seem to be a long string of lovely sandy beaches Just below the house, a 10 min walk, two lovely sandy beaches are located and within short distance by car there are lots of other lovely beaches.
Golf
Costa Navarino Golf Course is located approx 45 min drive from the property.
Travel
There are direct flights to Kalamata from various European cities between May and October. A 45 min drive from Kalamata airport to the house and a taxi from Kalamata airport to the house is approx 30 euros. There are flights all year round to Athens from where to can rent a car and drive down, a 4 hour drive. There are also buses from Athens to Kalamata. If needed, I can arrange for you to be met at the bus station or at Kalamata airport.
Distances
The villa is located 2km from Koroni, approx 300km from Athens and 50km from Kalamata. Xarakopio village is a bit closer than Koroni.
Further details
The Peloponnese offers a lot both for the historically interested tourist as for the sun- and beach lover. There are guidebooks in the house for your inspiration. Both Koroni and Methoni have impressive old Venetian castles and ancient Messini, Mystras and ancient Olympia are examples of excursions to be made in one day. Pylos is lovely little town where you can enjoy a frappé at the pretty tree shaded main square surrounded by its arched arcades. The castle of Pylos is worth visiting. 12km from Pylos lies the blue horseshoe shaped lagoon of Voidokillia, by New York Times selected one of the top ten beaches in the world! In Koroni there are banks, ATM machines, cafes, post office, pharmacy, bakeries, news agents and restaurants. In both Koroni and Charakopio you have small supermarkets as well. The area have some really nice restaurants, both in Koroni but also in the surrounding villages. During the nights of July and August the restaurant lined promenade along the harbour in Koroni, is bustling with people. If you prefer a more quiet and romantic place sit on the villa terrace facing the sea, look at the stars and enjoy the peace.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required on booking, the balance is paid 28 days before arrival. In case of cancellation all payments will be refunded if the house can be let out. If not the deposit will not be refunded. Bank transfer in Euros.

We had a wonderful time and loved your house, it was perfect in every detail! Fantastic places to visit, great tavernas to eat at. We loved the beach below the house and the view from the balcony where we had breakfast every day while watching the rising sun was unforgettable.

About the owner
We love this area and the house where we plan to spend more time once retired. Meanwhile we have decided to let it out instead of leaving it empty. So far all our guests have been very pleased and quite a few have returned.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Fell in love with this part of Greece during first visit here in 2004 and decided to buy the plot because of the magnificent views, the seclusion and unspoilt nature. The villa was completed in early 2006.
