Ghasri self-catering accommodation is set in and around a picturesque village on the island of Gozo. Part of the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is known for its rural character and low-key ambience, when compared with neighbouring Malta. At a Ghasri self-catering villa you can explore a coastline and interior that have managed to remain largely free of large-scale development. One of the most famous landmarks in the area is the Gurdan Lighthouse, which sits on a hill 180 metres above the sea and offers splendid views of the coast and landscapes inland. Scenic Wied il-Ghasri, a valley a few minutes from Ghasri holiday home farmhouses, is a popular area for walks and mountain biking during the months when the weather is a little more clement.
At a Gozo villa you’ll be within easy reach of some lovely beaches. Ramla il-Hamra is the pick of the bunch, and regarded by many as the best in all of Malta. The sand on this long bay has a reddish hue, and there is little sign of mass tourism to be found in the area. This makes it a great place to avoid the crowds. On the west coast of Gozo, a short drive from Ghasri holiday accommodation, are a number of interesting natural features to see – there’s the Azure Window, a natural arch;, the Inland Sea, a small lake with a pebbled shoreline, and the Blue Hole, which is rated as one of Europe’s top diving areas. Reaching Ghasri
At self-catering villas and holiday home farmhouses in Ghasri you’ll be about 15 minutes from the Gozo’s ferry terminal, connecting the island to neighbouring Malta. From there it’s another 20 minutes to the international airport (MLA).
