Property description
We are situated on the D703 Between Le Bugue (8kms) and Ste. Alvere (6kms). Bordeaux our nearest International Airport is 2 hours drive from here and Toulouse is around 2½ hours away. Bergerac Airport, which is about 40 kms away and has regular flights from Stanstead, England via Ryanair and from Bristol and Southampton via Flybe. The trains from Paris stop in Le Buisson (10 miles) and Le Bugue (5 miles) Both Ste. Alvère and Le Bugue offer Boulangeries, Pharmacies, Super Markets and numerous Cafes and excellent Restaurants. We are 10 minutes from the nearest 18 hole golf course and canoing on the Dordogne river is also 10 minutes drive.
Accommodation description
1. La Vigne Sleeps 2 (1 Bedroom)
The Farmhouse Gîte is accessed via the patio which has a table and four chairs overlooking the pool. The lounge kitchen area is equipped with two comfortable armchairs, DVD player, TV with French channels and English free to view channels via the Astra satellite and a CD/MP3 player. The kitchen area has a table with two chairs, an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and washing machine. We have tried to equip it with everything you could possibly need whilst on your holiday and Linda has received many compliments for the wide range of utensils that are included. A door leads to the bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobes. another door leads to the en-suite shower room, which has two wash basins, toilet and shower cubicle.
Bed linen is provided free of charge and all beds are made for you prior to your arrival. Towels are only provided to those of our guests who are flying in to France. There are games and board games to say nothing of our 3,000 English books.

The front door enters into the large open plan lounge kitchen/diner. The kitchen area includes a gas cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and electric kettle etc. The lounge includes two three seater settees, two armchairs and antique desk. There is a wood burning stove, DVD player, TV with French channels and English free to view channels via the Astra satellite and a CD/MP3 player. A dining table and four chairs and a small library with English books. The master bedroom has a double bed, two fitted wardrobes, an en suite shower room with wash basin and toilet. Outside is the second bedroom with twin beds and a toilet and wash basin, there is a large barbecue and views over valley.
Bed linen is provided free of charge and all beds are made for you prior to your arrival. Towels are only provided to those of our guests who are flying in to France.

La Vigne has a Friday Changeover and La Bergerie is on a Saturday. But we can be flexible out of the high season.

Accessibility
Both properties are on ground floor level without stairs. Doors are sufficiently large for wheelchair access.
Outside
Outside is an 11x6 metre shared swimming pool. Each property has it's own terrace area with barbecue, table and chairs etc. The pool area has sun loungers and additional tables and chairs and we also have a table tennis table. There are wonderful walks from your doorstep.

An 18 hole golf course is about 10 minutes drive away

A deposit of €150.00 euros per week is required, with the balance payable 8 weeks before the arrival date.
About the Owner
Linda and I have been at Les Lavandes since 1996, having moved here with our family from Perpignan, where we lived for three years. Ken is a web designer and also hosts websites for other people. Since moving here we have totally renovated all of the properties and have tried our best to equip them with everything you could need whilst on holiday. Linda has always been interested in fabrics and has made all of the curtains, cushions and soft furnishings.
We have made many good friends with our guests over the years, many who have returned every year since we have been here. Les Lavandes is our business and not just a hobby, so we make it our business to make sure that our guests have a wonderful time with us.
