The SportHotel Beausoleil has recently been refurbished and provides comfortable accommodation for individuals, families and groups. Located at the top end of the resort of Alpe d'Huez which is a mecca for cyclists across the globe wanting to re-enact the challenges faced by the professional competitors in the famous Tour de France which celebrates it's hundredth edition and will be staged in Alpe d'Huez during July 2013. The legendary 21 bends that climb up to Alpe d'Huez are undoubtedly a highlight for keen cyclist with on average 1000 riders completing the climb each day during the Summer. There are 50 bedrooms mainly twins and all have shower and WC and several with balcony. We also offer family rooms accommodating up to 4 to 5 persons. This ideal hotel has a large comfortable lounge area with seating and a separate welcoming bar with satellite TV which opens out onto a large sun terrace. Buffet breakfast is included and is served in the restaurant with its large picture windows.

How to get there
By Car: Follow the autoroute to Grenoble, then get on the A480 autoroute and follow signs for Sisteron/Gap. Take exit N°8 "Gap, Briançon, Vizille - Stations de l'Oisans" which joins the RN85, then the D1091 to Bourg d'Oisans, then the RD211. The Mythical ascent of the 21 bends will be the final climb to get to Alpe d'Huez.
By Air: The nearest airport Lyon which is around 2 hours by road, alternatively you can fly to Geneva or Turin. Transfer time from these airport is around 3.5 hours.

An excellent walking trail brochure is available from the tourist office encompassing trails for all abilities and often served by the uphill transport system to facilitate access. "We are an English group of cyclists traveling in July. Had a great stay and everything we could have asked for. Can see why its perfect for skiing but was also great for cycling with the location right at the top of Alpe d'Huez (near to the finish of Le Tour de France too) great place to be, very chilled and relaxed, food was great and felt comfortable with English staff and Rachel the manager."
