Maison de Grandmere is a delightfully converted village house in Pouzols, an attractive unspoilt village where the clock chimes are all that disturb the peace. It is surrounded by vineyards and some lovely walks and yet the Med and other attractions are not too far away. The house will sleep 6: 1 double bedroom (that also has a small child's bed) and a double mezzanine bedroom .The living room also has a day bed that converts into a double bed. You enter the house from the narrow village street into the living dining room with the kitchen at the end. There is an open working fireplace, with logs provided in the winter. There is a large sofa, dining table, and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped witha 4 ring stove , dishwasher fridge, and microwave with grill.and convection oven The village is close to Lac Joaures at Homps where all watersports and swimming and restaurants can be found

A marble staircase leads up to the first floor bedroom, tastefully decorated with double bed and a small child's bed suitable for a family sharing. On the same floor is a shower room,. The staircase leads up further to the top floor, which opens up into a living room with French doors onto the terrace. This room has a comfy sofa and TV with satellite link, CD player and radio. Above here is a mezzanine level with double bed and another toilet. The terrace has garden furniture and barbecue. There is also another fridge on the top floor for drinks on the terrace.and a small freezer The terrace has a cool fountain

Location Information: Minervois.Pouzols is a delightfully unspoilt medieval village surrounded by beautiful peaceful countryside and vineyards yet only minutes from the med beaches. It is a quiet location yet within easy reach of many historic small towns like Minerve, Capestang, St Chinian, Olargues, to name but a few. The world heritage site of the Canal du Midi with its lovely canal side bistros is also very close by. The larger towns of Narbonne, Perpignan and Beziers and world famous Carcassonne are within easy reach. The Aude region has also many small lakes and rivers with swimming facilities. The neighboring village of Mailhac has a swimming pool and you can swim locally at Bize Minervois in the river swimming pool and at Lac Jaures
