Chalet Beinn is a charming barn conversion retaining many original features. It is a five bedroom all ensuite chalet situated in the small Alpine village of St Jean D'Aulps, 6km from the resort of Morzine in the Rhones-Alps region of France. The main living area (over 90m2) incorporates the kitchen, dining and lounge area giving ample space for a busy house. The dining table easily sits 14 for an enjoyable night in. A separate TV lounge area is located upstairs (Freesat HD – BBC, ITV, etc.) The chalet has central heating throughout as well as a beautiful open fire keeping the chalet warm throughout the winter. The chalet also includes a bar area, pc and free WiFi throughout. A separate ski locker is located outside the front door helping to remove the clutter after a day on the slopes. There is ample space for three cars in the driveway, additional cars can easily be parked on the street.

Notes on prices

Rental periods are from Saturday to Saturday, Alternative days may be available on request. Payment in Pound Sterling, however Euro will also be accepted at daily rates on request. Rates are for rental of the property on a self catered basis and includes linen, towels, standard departure clean and WiFi internet access. A 30% deposit is required to secure the booking and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival in the resort. A security deposit of £400/€400 is required, and will be returned to you after your stay provided that there has been no damage to the chalet or its contents and that it is left in a reasonable condition.

The Les Gets Golf course has a hole named after the nearby peaks: with Mont Blanc or the 7th hole being the most impressive of this line up. Additional courses are available in Flaine (45 mins), Le Grande Bornand (1hr) and d'Esery (1hr). Many additional courses available towards Geneva.

Saint-Jean d'Aulps ski resort is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, with 650kms of slopes encompassing 14 French and Swiss ski resorts, and is the biggest international ski area in the world. It covers 400 hectares, 206 ski lifts, and 288 slopes (41 green runs, 109 blue runs, 110 red runs, 28 black runs, 4 snowcross). It also has hundreds of kilometres of free ride areas. St Jean D'Aulps' local ski area La Grande Terche is a short drive/ski bus away. La Grand Terche offers excellent intermediate level skiing and magnificent scenery. The area is also linked to the resort of Bellevaux and its 'Domaine Roc d'Enfer', with an impressive 11 km run descending back to 'La Grande Terche'. There is an 'ESF' ski school which provides lessons for all levels and accepts children from the age of 4. Younger children from 2 months can use the nearby crèche which has a very good reputation. The ski bus stop is within 100m of the chalet serving Morzine, Les Gets and La Grande Terche within 10min.

Location Information: Saint Jean D'Aulps is a picturesque and charming village, situated in the Haute-Savoie. It makes the perfect location for your holiday as part of the Portes Du Soleil resort, which is the largest linked ski area in the world encompassing 14 French and Swiss resorts. It boasts 650km of piste (206 ski lifts, 41 green, 109 blue, 110 red, 28 black, and 4 snow cross runs) as well as lift access to over 380km of mountain bike and hiking trails in summer. SJD offers a better value and more attractive location to a busy Morzine chalet, but retains easy access to all the facilities. The ski bus stop is within 100m and transports directly to Morzine, Les Gets and La Grande Terche (10min). Local bars, restaurants and shops are only a few minutes walk away. The main supermarket for Portes du Soleil is on the outskirts of SJD. SJD is ideal for ice skating, climbing, paragliding, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, hydro speeding, swimming, fishing, pony trekking, tennis, ballooning.
