Guest comments
Wonderful setting, friendly hosts in Jenny and Nick and hot sun in late September.... perfect. Jimmy and Linda. Sept 2008

Mas du Moulin d'Astruc is charming and unspoiled. We have found the Farmhouse gite to be very comfortable whilst maintaining a delightful rustic feel. The immediate surroundings are hard to leave.

Nick and jenny have been great hosts offering very useful tips on where to go in this fine and uncommonly beautiful corner of France. The variety of local wildlife astonished us.
We've had a great holiday. John and Sheila 2009

A great place for the kids and us... lots of room and endless space. The pool is superb and always in great condition. Too much to do and see all around but everything is so close... sea, rivers, towns and markets. Exhaustingly relaxing. Amanda and Kevin Aug 2009

Owner profile

About the owner
Hello. Jenny and I moved here from London in 1991 with our young family. We sought space, a beautiful and tranquil setting, a genuine ancient house with a view, no noisy roads nearby but it had to be close to all the facilities we needed. Not that easy to find but we did and here we are nearly 20 years later and never saw anywhere better! It was an all or nothing move. Jenny is now a local councillor. I play in the pottery studio when I get the chance. One of our sons has just married into a French family and other sons have chosen, after university in the UK, to live near here. I guess that's a good endorsement. No photo of us as we don't really come with the gite! But you'll see us around, occasionally by the pool.

Year purchased: 1991

Unique benefits of the property
Beautiful meadowland surrounds you in this conservation area giving you space to breath. Barbecue in your own garden or wander across the meadows and play a game of boule Everyday you'll see eagles overhead. But you'll be only 3 minutes drive to supermarkets, restaurants (even closer), and genuine village markets. There's a delightful walk from your gite by gardens and river to the authentic medieval village of Sauve with its many artists and musicians. You'll have complete privacy but Jenny and I are always there to help with any problems you may have from puctures to lightbulbs.
