This is a nice 1 bedroom flat in a good location. In addition to the UK Sky Freesat and WIFI there is a stereo with iPod lead and childrens sledges on the balcony. There is a double bedroom in the entrance are with a sofa bed, there are 2 bunk beds in the central area of the flat which can be separated off by 2 doors and there is also an additional sofa bed in the living area so could sleep 6 if required. This has been our family home so has a well equipped kitched and a few extras such as a slow cooker (it's lovely coming home to a meal thats been slowly cooking for hours after a days skiing) The south facing balcony gives amazing views of the resort and surrounding mountains. It is situated on the Pied Moutet side of the mountain and the nearest lift is 100ms away. You can ski back to this point too, for all but the beginning or end of the season. It is located at the popular Venosc end of the resort and is less that 5 mins walk from the bars, restaurants, Supermarkets and shops.

We would prefer Saturday changovers but understand that this is not always possible depending on which airport you fly from so can be flexible. Please contact the owner to discuss.

Bedrooms: The bedroom is at the entrance of the flat and has a double sofa bed which can be left as a bed all of the time if you wish. There is a wardrobe/cupboard, a number of shelving units and a bedside unit.
Bathrooms: The bathroom has a washbasin and shower and the hot water tank is located in a cupboard in the bathroom.
The toilet is located in a separate room.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a double hob, a mini oven/grill, a microwave, fridge and is equipped with the usual pots, pans, pressure cooker etc that you would expect to find in a skiing flat. The kitchen also has a small island separating it from the dining area.
Utility Room: In the living room is a cupboard containing an iron, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning equipment.
Living Rooms: The living room has a sofa bed and a few coffee tables. It is equipped with a TV which receives French tv and UK Sky Freesat. There is a stereo amplifier with iPod connection
Other: The balcony has the extra security of an electric roller shutter but we normally leave it open. The flat is on the first floor and there's no problem leaving ski equipment there. There are a few plastic childrens sledges on the balcony (if not damaged)
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The flat is professionally cleaned at the beginning and end of each let. Linen is supplied by the management company in resort at a cost of 10 Euros/person. It is compulsory that this service is used.
If needed towels can be hired for 5 Euros/person.

Notes on accommodation
Heating is provided by electrical wall heaters in the bedroom, living area and bathroom. We ask that guests do not smoke in the apartment.

Accessibility
The flat is down 2 flights of stairs from the entrance area so would not be suitable for wheelchair access.

Outside
Other than the balcony, there is no garden but there is a nice patch of grass at the foot of the building which in the spring/summer time can be used to sit out on.

Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course at the foot of the pistes. Of course this is only usable during the summer.

Skiing
Situated on the Pied Moutet side of the mountain and the nearest lift is 100 mts away. You can ski back to this point too for all but very early/very late season.
For those with children you can take advantage of around 7 free lifts for beginners. these are found at the foot of the pistes and are easy to walk to.

Travel
The nearest airport is Grenoble which is about 1 3/4 hrs by car. During season time the resort can easily be accessed from the airport by public bus or by one of the local transfer companies such as Bens Bus.
Other nearby airports are Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble.

Distances
Les Deux Alpes is on a plateau between the two old villages of Mont de Lans and Venosc. Both are worth a visit, particularly Venosc which can easily be accessed via a cable car (included on lift pass) and is a lovely traditional french mountain village with some nice bars and art galleries.

It is located at the popular Venosc end of the resort and is less that 5 mins walk from the bars, restaurants, Supermarkets and shops.

Booking notes
A deposit of £150 is required to secure the booking. This will show the apartment as booked and is non refundable.
The balance of the fee is to be paid 8 weeks before departure.
A security deposit of 350 Euros is payable locally on arrival (card swipe) which is refundable at the end of your stay.

About the owner
Hi, We are a family with 2 young children and try to use the flat as much as we can. We have in the past rented directly from owners ourselves and always found it to be great value.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
My wife and I spent a long time travelling around different alpine resorts before deciding on Les Deux Alpes. We loved the layout of the resort and the ease of being able to get straight up to the top of the mountain in only 2 lifts. The resort is a nice mix of locals and holiday makers and we have always been made to feel welcome. The resort is quite forward thinking when it comes to building features on the mountain such as the canyons area, the ski-cross area and the parks. The fact that you can ski on the glacier in the summer too is a big bonus. There are some lovely bars and mountain restaurants and I would recommend La Bergerie on the Pied Moutet side of the mountain, Friendly quirky nice french bar (go late in the day as they are generous with their Genepi)
