Villa in quiet and peaceful surroundings set in one acre of garden and olive grove yet only 10 mins walk from the medieval perched village of Fayence with its excellent restaurants, country market and shops. The living accommodation and master bedroom on the upper floor have stunning views from the balconies and access at ground level to a large terrace overlooking the olive grove. 2 further bedrooms and another bathroom on the lower floor have access to their own terrace and the garden. The recently refurbished villa is decorated and furnished to a high standard using mostly local fabrics and furnishings. It has a fireplace, central heating and air conditioned master bedroom. Teak dining tables and chairs are located on the front balcony and the rear terrace allowing a choice of outdoors eating. The fenced garden is sheltered and private with solar heated pool, sun terraces and boules court.

Outside
Wide steps lead from the house down to the large pool terrace which is private and sheltered, surrounded by thick hedges and mature trees and fully equipped for sun bathing. The mosaic tiled and heated pool, measuring 8x4.5x2.2m deep, has an alarm system to meet new safety requirements. There is a boules court (2 sets of boules provided) and tables and chairs for aperitifs during matches. A winding path leads through a peaceful shady area to the fishpond and bench for quiet reflection. Tranquil olive terraces of 2000 sqm also contain fig and apple trees. In addition to the garage there is parking space for several cars.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at La Napoule, 5 miles away but all forms of water sports are to be found on the magnificent Lac de St Cassien within 15 minutes drive of the villa.
Golf
There are many golf courses in the area, including the recently completed Terre Blanche course (www.terre-blanche.com) in sight of the house and less than 2km away.
Travel
Nearest international airport Nice at 27 miles. Nearest railway station Mandelieu at 5 miles. Nearest motorway junction A8 Junction 39 at 2 miles. Car is necessary.
Distances
Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Juan Les Pins and the other fashionable resorts of the Cote d'Azur are all within easy reach from Fayence but the coast gets extremely busy in the summer and those who prefer a more leisurely environment may prefer to explore the historical villages in the region: Mons, Callian, Bargemon and St Cezaire. The Gorges of Verdon and Siagne are wonderful sights. A wide range of restaurants can be found, both in the village and in the valley, providing regional recipes.
Further details
Fayence has a colourful local market in the village square 3 times a week. Here you will find local pottery and fabrics as well as fresh vegetables, cheeses and local specialties. Near-by is the local Marché Paysan (Farmers Market) which is open 6 days a week in the summer. Farmers from the local area bring their own produce fresh each morning to the market. Produce rarely seen at home can be found - white aubergines and courgettes flowers, for example. Eggs sold here are fresh from the hen and you can pick your own salads from a huge variety of leaves. Browse around the shelves of farm produce for locally made cheeses, wines and preserves.
