Château Neureux is located close to the Forêt de Tronçais right in the middle of the triangle between the historic cities of Bourges, Nevers and Moulins. Château Neureux offers luxury and comfort on a landscaped property of 50ha. woods, meadows and lakes. Changeover day

Three comfortable gîtes, each named after a famous French film director, are created around the courtyard next to the castle. Each gîte holds three bedrooms. Electric radiators in all the bedrooms. The living has TV and a woodburner. The open kitchen is fully equipped with combi oven, microwave, gas stove, and refrigerator. A freezer, a washing machine and a separate dryer are available in the former kitchen and washroom in the cellar quarters of the castle. Private garden. |

Truffault Gite No. 3 (Sleeps 6. 3 Bedrooms)

Named after the French film director François Truffault. Fully adapted for wheelchair users according to official standards. There's a private entrance gate. Easy access to and from every room (no doorsteps). The three comfortable gîtes are created around the courtyard next to the castle. Each gîte holds three bedrooms. The large living has TV and a cozy wood burner. Each has a private garden. |

Resnais Gite No.4 (Sleeps 6/7. 3 Bedrooms)

This large two level gîte is the former home of the gardener of the property. Three comfortable gîtes, each named after a famous French film director, are created around the courtyard next to the castle. Each gîte holds three bedrooms. Beds are available on request. The living is equipped with a wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped: gas oven and stove, microwave and dishwasher. Bedrooms are equipped with electric radiators. Each has a private garden. |

Notes on accommodation
The gîtes are named after famous French film directors (Jean Luc Godard, François Truffault, and Alain Resnais) while the rooms in the château are named after famous French films from the nouvelle vague era that inspired filmmaker Roeland Kerbosch at the start if his career in Holland.

Gîte no.3, named after the French filmdirector François Truffault, is fully adapted for wheelchair users according to official standards.
Outside
A heated swimming pool (8x4m.) in a secluded part of the vast property is located at the entrance of the centuries old forest. The originally in 1836 landscaped park with two lakes around the castle now invites the visitor for a stroll, a rowing boat trip, or a barbecue.

Travel
Nearest airports are Montluçon (1.5 hrs.) and Clermont Ferrand (1.5hrs.) both for local and some international connections. Paris airports Orly at 2.5hrs. and De Gaulle at 3hrs.
Distances
The village of Lurcy Lévis at 1km. offers all amenities. Sancoins at 12km. has a wide variety of shops and a very popular market on Wednesdays.
Bourges, Nevers and Moulins are beautiful cities, each pivotal in the history of France. In the small village of Aprémont (20km.) time came to a stand still some two hundred years ago, while the Allier river quietly passes by. The castle and its famous gardens overlook this filmdécor.
Booking notes
When booking you pay 50% of the amount due for renting a gîte or a room for a certain period. At confirmation of your booking you pay the other 50%.
Only for rental of one of the gîtes you pay an extra guarantee equal to a one weeks rent. This guarantee will be returned when you leave.

Once the property of King Louis XV, now American ballerina Valerie Valentine (former soloist at the Dutch National Ballet) and filmmaker Roeland Kerbosch are proud to welcome you at Château Neureux, located on the top of a hill overlooking 50ha. of woodlands, prairies and lakes. It is their goal to make you feel at home in one of the comfortable gîtes on the premises or in one of the tastefully restored rooms in the castle, where you get the feeling going back in time to the era of the French noblemen who enjoyed life in this pastoral rural ambiance. The Bourbonnais region in the Allier Département is known for its beautiful castles and estates. Château Neureux is the special one among its equals. It offers the visitor an oasis of tranquility, modern luxury and a wide variety of amenities in an atmosphere of historic authenticity.
Each room is decorated with precious wallpaper, bathrooms are equipped with cast-ron baths, and from the windows and balconies you'll enjoy the absorbing view over the meadows, the lakes and the woodlands.
