The house has a large pool terrace for sunbathing and relaxing and covered balconies providing shade for 'alfresco' dining while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Within easy reach there are numerous excellent restaurants and a wide variety of shopping facilities including a number of local markets. Morning markets well worth a visit include Bergerac and Sainte Foy La Grande (Sat) Eymet (Thurs) and Issegeac (Sun).Don't miss out on a visit to the night market at Monbazillac where you can enjoy 'moules and frites' and sample a selection of local produce. For fishing and golf enthusiasts the Dordogne river is nearby and at Chateau des Vigiers there is a well known golf complex and there are two smaller less expensive courses at Miramont and Marmande.The property is also ideally situated to visit the region's many tourist attractions and to sample the local wines.

The house has an enclosed 10m by 5 m pool and is surrounded by a large garden. The pool terrace and covered balconies provide plenty of space to relax in the shade or sunbathe while enjoying panoramic views of the surrrounding countryside. A BBQ, lounge chairs and garden furniture is provided. There is a carport at the front of the house to provide covered parking.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Arcachon 1 hour and 20 mins by car.

Golf
Nearby is Chateau des Vigies, a well known golf complex in a spectacular setting with an excellent restaurant. There are two less expensive courses at Marmande and Miramont.

Distances
Bergerac 10kms away, with daily summer boat rides on the Dordogne river, has a variety of excellent coffee bars and restaurants and a wide range of shops. The busy Saturday market has stalls selling local produce, clothes and household goods and at the Sunday market in the 'old town' you can browse among a variety of stalls selling antique household items. Sigoules (4kms), the nearest small town, has a well stocked 'Shoppi',a bar/restaurant, pizzeria, pharmacy, newsagent, bank and Boulangerie.

Further details
Between Bergerac and St.Foy Le Grande, 15 mins drive from the house, there is a large shopping complex with a Le Clerc supermarket, and petrol station, restaurants, and a variety of large stores and small shops selling clothes, shoes, toys and household goods.

Nearby there are numerous local markets and restaurants which are detailed in the 'House Book' provided. Don't miss a visit to the Sunday night market at Monbazillac where you can enjoy 'moules and frites' and sample a selection of local produce.

The fairytale chateau at Monbazillac, the Bastide towns and the famous pre historic caves at Les Ezyies are all within easy reach. Situated in the heart of the wine making region of the Dordogne, the house is surrounded by numerous vineyards where you can sample a variety of local wines and become familiar with the wine making process and the area's history.

Enjoy a visit to our caretakers Maurice and Hugette Tricou or Chateau Belingard where an entertaining and informative tour with wine tasting is conducted in English.

Booking notes
A booking deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance of the rental amount and a security of £200 must be paid 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.
