Set in a delightful rural hamlet, at the end of a no through road, surrounded by the glorious countryside of the Parc Regional du Perigord, this is our own holiday home in France. Not only a paradise for bird watchers, walkers and those seeking relaxation it offers proximity to many fine restaurants for lovers of good food and wine. There are two Michelin starred restaurants within 7 miles distance or for the keen cook the farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped in every detail.. Situated within reach of the major tourist attractions of the Dordogne, Chateaux, Caves, vineyards,markets and pretty villages.An exceptional feature of the house is its magnificent, spacious sitting room with exposed beams, polished wood floor and original fireplace, There is a sunny terrace in the front garden and a shady courtyard at the rear. Our bilingual neighbours are on hand to welcome you to the house and help you with any information or queries that arise during your stay.

Notes on prices
We ask for a non refundable deposit of £150 (subject to booking conditions) to confirm your reservation and payment in full eight weeks prior to holiday start date by forward dated cheque. In the event of cancellation the deposit will be forfeited. This deposit becomes a security guarantee for the duration of your stay. It will be refunded in full within 7 days of your departure (subject to booking conditions)
Linen and towels can be provided with a laundry charge of £10 per person or clients are welcome to bring their own. Cots or high chairs are available for £10 per letting. There are no more hidden charges. Change over day is normally Saturday. Alternative change over days are possible by arrangement.
Payment is accepted in British Pounds or equivalent in Euro for clients from the European community at current rates of exchange at the time of booking provided that the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner/advertiser.

Note - open tread staircase to first floor. Separate downstairs WC and WHB. Wash hand basins in two bedrooms upstairs. Bed linen and towels are provided for small additional cost. Downstairs bed/sitting room with en suite shower, wash hand basin and exposed stone features Overlooking both courtyard and rural views. Recently installed fully equipped cooks farmhouse kitchen with dishwasher. Traffic free access to large areas of natural woodland. attractive countryside. Exceptional walking and bird watching area. Satellite TV gives all UK stations plus many others. Video and DVD and CD's fully installed. There are examples of discs and tapes for all of these in the house. There's is a large selection of books plus local guides and maps. Bicycles can be hired in Brantome. Pets considered on request.

Location Information: The house is situated in the Parc regional de Perigord,5 miles from medieval town of Brantome on river Dronne which is a centre for tourism with a colourful market on Fridays. It is 20 miles from Perigueux which has a major shopping centre and big Saturday market. In a little over an hour you can get to the brandy distilleries at Cognac or alternatively the Bordeaux vineyards. River activities canoeing,kayaking,fishing on nearby river Dronne, Châteaux at Bourdeilles, Mareuil and Hautefort. Attractive villages at St Jean de Cole, Bourdeilles and Agognac, Caves at Villars, Lascaux and Les Eyzies Railway stations at Perigueux (20miles) or Angouleme about 30 miles. Low cost flights to local airports. Just over an hours drive from Bergerac or Limoges Airports, 45 minutes from Angouleme. Easy road access from the channel ports journey time approximately 5/6 hours driving mostly on motorway
