The gite is built within my lovely courtyard garden stocked with trees and shrubs. Deck chairs provided and use of BBQ.

Narbonne plage, 1 hour 15 mins by car. Numerous other beaches 1 1/2 to 2 hours by car

Carcassonne airport - 1 hour
Toulouse airport - 1 and 3/4 hours
Perpignan airport - 1 and 1/2 hours
Beziers airport - 1 and 3/4 hours

Distances
Centrally located in the village of Arques walking distance to boulangerie and bar. Rennes le Chateau - 15 mins. Carcassonne city - 1 hour. All Cathar Castles within easy driving distance. Hot thermal swimming pool at Rennes les Bains - 15 mins
Further details
Arques has its own bar/restaurant and boulangerie. Limoux is 30 mins drive, Quillan is 25 mins drive both have full facilities. This area is famous for wine and the wonderful dramatic scenery. Gorges and hills with the Pyrenees only 1 1/2 hours drive. Canoeing, walking, horseriding and cycling are the main activities alongside visiting the cathar chateaux and the world famous village of Rennes Le Chateau. Arques also has its own lake for swimming.
