Distances
Centrally located in the village of Arques walking distance to boulangerie, epicerie and bar. Rennes le Chateau - 15 mins. Carcassonne city - 1 hour. All Cathar Castles within easy driving distance.
Further details
Arques has its own bar, boulangerie and epicerie. Limoux is 30 mins drive, Quillan is 25 mins drive both have full facilities. This area is famous for wine and the wonderful dramatic scenery. Gorges and hills with the Pyrenees only 1 1/2 hours drive. Canoeing, walking, horseriding and cycling are the main activities alongside visiting the cathars and the world famous village of Rennes Le Chateau. Arques also has its own lake for swimming.
