Guest comments
"Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We feel like we left our paradise in Hawaii to find another here in Pommard! We appreciate so much the quality of everything here, from the Sabatier knives to the Le Creuset cookware, to the bed linens - and the shower of course is heaven. We've rented apartments in Europe for many years, and this is absolutely the best." (Ann & Paul Misura, Hawaii)
It feels like a privilege to be able to stay in such a lovely, well-appointed apartment. As others have said, we're "old hands" at self-catering places and this one is very special. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay here in your private place, and to share your lovely things." Susan & Brigid, Stoke-on-Trent, UK)
What a beautiful place in which to welcome in the New Year! A stunning apartment - beautifully furnished with such wonderful attention to detail! It was like staying with "old friends" rather than an anonymous "holiday let". (Michelle & Carl, Wirral, UK)

About the owner
We are a busy Anglo-French couple living in Southern England with designs on a permanent life in France at some stage.
Michael is French and the rest of his family live in the Drome region. He now works as a therapist having changed career from export management. He has lived in Scotland and Singapore and spent much time travelling in Europe and Asia.
I am English and work in London as a graphic designer. I would describe myself as a total Francophile and love everything about the French way of life.
Year purchased: 2006
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our apartment in Pommard 5 years ago as we always loved the Burgundy region and would regularly stay a night in Beaune to break our usual long journey south to see Michael's family. When we saw it the building renovation was still unfinished but we were already smitten and felt it would be our perfect holiday home in an area that offered us everything we were looking for. We lovingly furnished it with carefully chosen items and equipped it as our own home with all the things in it needed to make the place attractive, comfortable and welcoming.
Unique benefits of the property
We love the village of Pommard, its character, its proximity to beautiful Beaune with all its history, and the rolling vineyards that surround us. We enjoy the short walk around the corner to buy freshly baked croissants from our local boulangerie for breakfast and the chateau rose gardens in the evening when the scents are at their strongest. Taking a bicycle ride through the tiny back roads flanked by vineyards where the only car you see is be the odd van parked amongst the vines with someone busily tending to them. Opening a bottle of good burgundy which has come direct from the local producer at a price that we would normally pay for something unremarkable... all these experiences make the place really special for us.
We are sure you'll enjoy it every bit as much as we do.
