Arbre de Cerise is set in just under an acre of land it has stunning, far reaching views and offers a rustic charm. The cottages look out over the peaceful grassed courtyard where you will find our beautiful cherry tree and bread oven. There is a games room in the barn where you will find a selection of indoor and outdoor activities including table tennis, darts, boule and a selection of board games, badminton and an above ground pool can be found in the main garden along with our Swiss style play house. Poitiers, Futuroscope, Limoges, Civray, Cognac and Angouleme are all a short drive away. The local area is perfect for walking and cycling and as the property is minutes away from the N10 highway it is the perfect place for exploring this fascinating region.

Changeover day
During the peak summer months our changeover day is Saturday and our guests are invited to arrive from 4pm. Check out by 10am. We can be flexible with changeover days (except in July and August) please feel free to ask when booking.

Coquilecot has a delightful living room with kitchen/dining area. The kitchen area is fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms - one double with wonderful French windows that opens out onto the courtyard area, and one bright and airy twin. There is also a family bathroom with a shower and WC. In the living area is a TV, DVD, CD, video. |

Notes on accommodation
Arbre de Cerise is a beautiful 400 year old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored and converted into three separate cottages (one occupied by the owners).
We provide all bed linen and bathroom towels but we would ask that you bring your own pool/beach towels. Each cottage also has a selection of its own board games, books and videos.
Outside
Each of our cottages has its own garden furniture and BBQ situated outside in the courtyard. We also have sun loungers and garden chairs in the main garden. There is an above ground pool which is shared between the 2 cottages.
Coast/Beach
The beaches at Royan and La Rochelle are approx. 90 minutes drive.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses approx 45 minutes away and we are happy to book tee times for you.
Travel
Poitiers airport approx 40 mins. La Rochelle airport approx 90 mins. Limoges airport approx 90 mins. Calais port approx 7 hours. Boulogne approx 7 hours. St Malo approx 5 hours.
Distances
The fascinating cities of Angouleme and Poitiers are 40 mins drive. Visit the Roman town of Saintes, the porcelain factories of Limoges and the World War II Martyr Village of Oradour-sur-Glane all within 90 mins drive. The fascinating town of Cognac which sits on the Charente River is 60 mins away and Futuroscope is a 40 min drive. Visit the Valley of the monkeys for a wonderful day out.
Further details
Our nearest supermarket is in Sauze Vaussais which is approx 5 mins by car and in the village along with a handful of other shops you'll find a bank, boulangerie, post office and pharmacy. There are local markets held almost daily and we can give you more information about these. The Sunday morning market in Angouleme is well worth a visit, it is smaller than some but it's a wonderful place to stroll around and soak up the atmosphere. There are a number of fine restaurants all within a 15 min drive. Lakes for swimming, cycling, walking, go-karting, water sports and fishing are available nearby.
Booking notes
We ask that you confirm your intention to book via e-mail and we will hold your dates until we receive your booking form and deposit. We ask for a deposit of £100 per week to secure your booking. Our booking form and terms and conditions can be found on our website. The balance of your holiday is due 8 weeks before you travel.
