The property is located on the edge of a lovely and lively village (Sigoules). It is equipped with all the comfort you would expect to find in your own home. All 5 bedrooms are large with en-suite. The property also boasts a very large eat-in kitchen with all modern appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, a large living room with top of the range home video system, billiard room, separate dining room, entrance hall. Most rooms downstairs have old marble fireplaces. The garden is totally enclosed.

Beautiful swimming pool (5m x 10m) with large tiled solarium area (some of which has shade) ideal for sunbathing and eating outside (lunch + dinner) with BBQ area. The swimming is totally enclosed in compliance with security regulations and is therefore very safe for young children. Large driveway which can host 2 to 3 cars. Large terrace to the North of the property.

The nearest beach is 3 hours away.
Golf
Beautiful international 18 hole Golf and Country Club located 9 miles from the property through country roads (Chateau des Vigiers). This country club als has a spa and renowned restaurant. Tee-off times must be booked in advance.
Special interest holidays
The village of Sigoules is located in the wine area and it is an ideal place for sightseeing (with the castles of Monbazillac and Duras and the beautiful town of Bergerac close by) and wine tasting. Also an ideal place for walks.
Travel
Bergerac is the nearest airport 9 miles from Sigoules through small roads. Ryanair has flights going into Bergerac. Alternatively, British Airways and Easyjet have flights going to Bordeaux which is 1.5 hour drive to Sigoules.

The village of Sigoules has all shops required as well as a Doctor's Surgery and petrol station, bakery, butchers, charcuterie, small supermarket, nice country bar with a restaurant.

Hi Claire Just to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday in Sigoules - I've attached a photo I took at the restauarant in the village which your mother helped us to book before we got up to speed with our French on our first evening! We were very comfortable in the house and visited Bergerac, St Emilion, Sarlat, Roque-Gageac, the barrage and old canal at Tulieres and Monbazillac and we spent a day canoeing from near Beynac. We also went on one of the guided walks organised by the Tourist Information in Sigolues. All in all we packed a lot into a week and still found time for a few barbecues and a splash or two in the pool! We had a great time - thank you for letting us stay! Viv
