Located in the tranquil and peaceful countryside just 2 miles north of the medieval town of Sarlat la Canada. Newly fitted with a double bedroom and en suite bathroom, double height ceiling in the lounge/kitchen and dining area. Ideal position for keen walkers and cyclists with many marked routes in the immediate vicinity. Easy reach to the surrounding villages of Domme/Beynac/Les Eysies and many more.

Saturday changeover. Arrival time after 4pm. Departure time by 10 am. Mid week changeovers considered.

Notes on accommodation
Newly refurbished gite. Spacious, light and sunny living areas. There is the use of the pool on the property which is in a separate part of the garden to the gite. The gite guests sole use of the pool is between 2pm and 5pm. Alternative pool times can be arranged during your stay.

Bergerac airport approx 70km. Brive airport approx 30km. Car hire/own vehicle essential. Train station, Sarlat.

The town of Sarlat has 3 supermarkets and dozens of restaurants. Market days in Sarlat are on Wednesday and Saturday.A folder which details all the above information is present in the gite.
Booking notes
A non-refundable 20% deposit to be paid within 8 days of making the booking. This will secure the reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to the commencement date of the booking. An accidental damage deposit of £200 is required and refunded within 2 weeks after leaving.

I have been a veterinary surgeon in the Uk for the last 20 years. I live in The Chilterns, Buckinghamshire, enjoying the outdoors but at the same time being in close proximity to the centre of London.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having been brought up in South Africa I have always longed for the climate and the vast amounts of space one can find in that part of the world. Holidaying in the Dordogne has always filled the above need. The wildlife,fauna and flora of this part of France has always been a great attraction. You also have the advantage of all the rich cultural life and historical architecture with such abundance in this region. Space,sun,tranquility and lots of outdoor activities is what I thrive on.
Unique benefits of the property
The property has immediate access to great country walks and bicycle rides and yet it is only 2 miles from the medieval town of Sarlat. The dordogne river is only a 10 minute drive away to enjoy the canoeing and riverside walks. The grounds of the house have a chateau to one side and grazing cattle on the other. Rural bliss yet easy reach to most amenities the area provides.
