Changeover day
Changeover day Saturday. Arrival between 4-6pm. Departure before 10am.

Notes on accommodation
The bedroom facilities upstairs consist of: 1 king size bedroom, and twin room on the upper floor. The rooms can also be used as a family room. On the ground floor there is a twin bedded room and a further double bedroom. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. There is a bathroom on each floor making the villa ideal for 2 families to stay. In addition there is a single fold up bed (2 cots are also available).
Accessibility
The villa on the ground floor is on one level. There is a slight incline from the gate to the terrace but suitable for a wheelchair. We have had people with mobility problems stay in the past and they have all been extremely complementary about the accommodation. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower and bath on both floors. Access to the 2nd floor however would be difficult for a wheelchair bound person.
Outside
Garden, covered terrace (south facing), additional decking area overlooking lagoon, private heated pool (8m x 4m). Two patio tables, BBQ and sunloungers for 8. Additional balcony on upper floor. The garden is completely enclosed. There is ample parking and a garage. 2 bicycles (adult) are available to guests along with tennis rackets, football, and various games including table football.
Coast/Beach
Take a trip to one of the nearby Mediterranean beaches where a variety of water sports are available including sailing, scuba diving and water skiing. Windsurfing on the nearby lagoons is extremely popular in this area. The nearest beach is at Leucate which is 10 mins drive.
Golf
Golfing at Saint Cyprien about 30 mins away. Carcasonne also.
Travel
The villa is situated a short 10 minute drive from the A9 (Route de Mediterranean). Ryanair (from Stansted), FlyBe (from Birmingham and Southampton), Aer France from Paris fly into Perpignan (15 mins away). Other routes: Carcassone 40 mins (Ryanair). Montpelier 1 hr (Ryanair). Several airline routes to Toulouse including Easyjet, Flybe + Ryanair 1½ hour. Barcelona 2 hours drive. Girona 1 hour drive (Ryanair), Beziers 45 mins (Ryanair).
Distances
Fitou village is a 10 min walk. Perpignan and Narbonne are the nearest cities and are approx 25km away.
Further details
There is a supermarket in Fitou village and a café/bar, bakery (within a 15 min walk). There are several excellent restaurants in Fitou village and pizza take away. The major hypermarkets and a wide range of shopping can be found in Perpignan (15 mins) or in Narbonne (25 mins). Leucate (on the coast) has a variety of small shops and cafes and bars. The area is renowned for its long sandy beaches (stretching from Beziers to the north to Collioure a delightful fishing port and artistic centre near the Spanish border), vineyards and medieval castles. Carcassone (a World Heritage Site), Narbonne, Perpignan and the coastal towns of Collioure and Port Vende are all well worth a visit. Take a trip on the Petit Jaune Train (The Yellow Train) up into the Pyrenees and enjoy the spectacular views or if you are feeling energetic climb the Canigou, one of the highest peaks of the Pyrenees on the French/Spanish border. Visit the magnificent African Safari Park at Sigean (15 mins by car) or cross into Spain and visit the Dali Museum at Figueres (¾ hour drive).

25% deposit is required to secure booking. Balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. £250 security bond required (refundable after departure).

The villa was fantastic. A real home from home. Air-conditioning in bedrooms was a godsend as we had a very hot week. Pool was excellent (couldn't keep children out of it).
