The cottage is next to the main house (the owner lives in the main house) with gardens and a shared pool. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Situated conveniently between Tours (1 hour) and Poitiers (40 mins), Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to both airports. It is ½ hour from historic Chinon, 40 mins from Saumur (famous for the Cadre Noir Classical Riding School). 2 hours from La Rochelle and 1½ hour from La Mans. Good central base for dressage and 3 days horse trails in Saumur or motor racing at La Mans. Well located for visiting the beautiful chateaux of the Loire Valley, wine tasting, cycling, walking and riding.

Notes on accommodation
The owner lives in the main house were they can maintain the pool, horses and gardens. It is suitable for children of all ages. We have a large selection of toys and outdoor games (table tennis, badminton and bikes). Parking available next to cottage. We also have a lot of baby items which are cots, pushchairs, car seats, toys. Baby sitting can be provided at an extra cost.
Outside
The pool is shared with guests from the main house and is fitted with an alarm. Outside the cottage is a private garden with picnic table and bench. Small BBQ.
Travel
Brittany Ferries:
From Portsmouth/ Caen drive from Caen 3/4 hrs.
From Poole/Cherbourg drive from Cherbourg 4/5 hrs.
Plymouth/Roscoff drive form Roscoff 4/5 hrs.
Distances
Car is essential and there are a number of car hire centres at Poitiers and Tours airport. We are situated 10 mins by car to Loudun and Historic Richelieu. 2½ hours from Paris by TGV to Poitiers.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 30% will secure your booking and outstanding balance should be paid 6/8 weeks before arrival date. Breakage deposit of £250 fully refundable. Please contact for nightly rates. No credit cards facility at the moment.
Cosy luxurious long weekends available, self catering for the family or just for two. A great base for house hunters in the area. A food welcome pack will be there for you on arrival cheese, bread, water and wine.
