Exte Aita is a villa in the Basque design template. It is a tastefully presented and finished to a high standard. The views of the surrounding countryside, The Pyrenees and La Rhune mountain are breathtaking, yet you are only 12 minutes from the beautiful town of St Jean de Luz with its daily fish market, twice weekly farmers market and beautiful beaches. The border to Spain is 12 mins away with gastronomique San Sebastian, Honderrabia and Bilbao (The Guggenheim Museum).

Changeover day
In the high season changeover days are on Saturdays. Arrival time is 4.00pm and departure time is 10am. If you need to leave early, or the day before normal departure you should let the villa representative know in advance.

Reduced mobility with ground floor bedroom and bathroom/wc.
Outside
The charming covered outdoor dining is a place to gather whilst "the chef" creates gastronomique delights on the "plancha" (hotplate for grilling). The pool is 10x5m and 1.0-2m20 depth and is surround by terrace with comfortable teak settees and sun loungers. The pool is protected by an alarm.
Coast/Beach
Only a 12 minute drive to the beautiful beach in St Jean de Luz which is very safe for swimming and excellent for children.
Golf
For those who want a golf holiday the area is packed with great, under-played courses.
Travel
Nearest airport is Biarritz (30 mins). Bordeaux (2hrs), Pau (1 1/2 hrs), San Sebastian (30 mins).
Distances
10 mins to large supermarket Leclerc. 12 mins to the villages of Ascain and Urrugne.

Bookings can be made by telephone or by email. Email is the quickest way to contact us. 35% to be paid at time of booking. 75% to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date. A security deposit of Euro 600 is payable on arrival and will be returned within 14 days of departure following inventory check.

Owner profile
About the owner
Exte Aita was renovated in 2006 and has been a succesful rental property since then. This is our 2nd home as we live on the island of Nevis in the Caribbean. We chose this area for its outstanding beauty, proximity to Spain and the great surfing beaches. We spend early summers and try to spend early Autumn at the house but this has depended on our work load. James is a Landscape Architect and works on resort projects in the Caribbean and in other parts of the world. Laura manages the company on a day to day basis.
Unique benefits of the property
When we stay at the villa, one of our favourite things to do is to go to the fish market and choose our fresh fish for dinner. We also enjoy taking the small ferry from Hendaye to Honderabbia and enjoying a lunchtime feasting on tapas and spanish wine. We really enjoy the tranquility of the villa yet we are only minutes away from bustling towns and the ocean.
