Modern two-bedroom apartment in traditional mountain chalet, with stunning views of Mont Blanc and surrounding peaks. Les Contamines provides superb family holidays in both winter and summer. Our cosy apartment (34 cubic metres) is just five minutes walk from main lift, and same distance from village centre. Built just a few years ago, it's warm, comfortable, and furnished to a good standard.

Notes on accommodation
The chalet is built to a high standard with excellent communal areas. The apartment uses efficient electric wall heaters and is on one level on the ground floor for easy access. Own parking outside. Welcome packs (tea, coffee, milk, bread, wine, etc) available on request.

Outside
Apartment balcony overlooks a meadow with attractive views down the valley and is ideal for picnics. To the right is the Dome de Miage Glacier and the Mont Blanc Massif.
Coast/Beach
Local summer activities include tennis, mountain biking, rock climbing, walking, parasailing, white water rafting, canoeing, horse-riding, tree-walking, mini-golf, children's donkey treks, lake for pedalos and swimming, ice skating rink and outdoor swimming pool at St Gervais (10 minutes away) and summer luge at Megeve.

18-hole course at Megeve 30 minutes drive away.
Skiing
Les Contamines is a predominantly French family ski-resort with 150km of downhill pistes and a much-envied snow record. The highest runs are at 7,500ft and there is a snow park for boarders. The apartment is just a 5 min walk from the main lift. There is a ski bus link via gondola in the adjoining town of St Gervais to the mega resort of Megeve which boasts 450km of pistes. Or drive to Chamonix 45 minutes away for even more variety.
Travel
Nearest airport is Geneva, 75 minutes away by car. There is a ski bus to resort in season.
Driving: The apartment is 550 miles from Calais (motorway all the way).

Further details
Les Contamines has two small supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, an ATM which accepts English cards, a good selection of restaurants and bars, one disco, a weekly market, ski rental shops, etc. There is a village ice rink in winter and an excellent sports park in summer with tennis courts, tree-top ropeslides, golf-driving range, climbing school, etc. Great walks: 30 signposted trails in the valley. It's also on the famed Tour de Mont Blanc circuit - a fantastic circular walk if you have 10 days to spare!
Booking notes
25% of weekly rental secures the booking. There is an additional payment of £150 deposit to cover for any damage or breakages. This will be returned after the holiday provided the apartment is in good order. There will be an additional charge of £50 per person per week for more than four people.
