Changeover day
Change over days are normally Saturdays but can be flexible out of season. Guests are asked to arrive any time after 4pm and to depart no later than 10am.

Notes on accommodation
Our home consists of two properties adjacent to each other in a private courtyard. Because of the proximity of the properties we will only let out the property to one party at a time for the sake of privacy. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Please note that the pool is only in use between May and end September.
Accessibility
The converted barn is spacious with a bedroom and ensuite shower room (with basin and WC) on the ground floor. However, the shower does have a step to get into it. There is also a downstairs loo next to the kitchen. The courtyard does have fairly deep gravel which may cause a problem. There are also shallow steps to get into the converted barn.
Outside
There is a large private and sunny garden with lawn, mature trees, garden table and chairs and barbecue. There is a pretty orchard and chickens. There is a swimming pool in a sunny sheltered position close to the house.
Coast/Beach
5 minutes drive to sandy beach on lake, 45 minutes drive to beautiful coastal beaches and resorts.
Travel
If coming by car from England, the nearest ports for ferries are St Malo, which is about an hour and half drive away, or Roscoff. Dinard airport is about an hour and half and Rennes is about 2 hours drive away.
Further details
The small town of Uzel, 10 minutes drive, has more shops including a fish shop, a super market, chemist, banks and small weekly market.

We are an English family of five with young children and a dog. We bought our house in Brittany five years ago and spend most of our holidays there.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We decided to buy our house in Brittany because, having small children, it is easy to get to and we love the French culture. Our children are able to have space and freedom in a beautiful, safe and tranquil setting. There are wonderful lakes nearby with sandy beaches and swimming, kayaking and walking, there are canal paths to cycle or walk along and wonderful markets to visit. We often take trips up to the glorious beaches on the coast.
