Situated in the medieval quarter of the historic town of Dinan, the house looks out on a cobbled street leading from the riverfront to the ancient city walls. Dating back to the 15th century, this spacious half timbered house retains much of the character of a bygone age. Granite and oak floors exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings combine to give a timeless feel. Central heating and a wood burning stove make this a comfortable base at any time of the year. The house is spacious and airy and sleeps up to 8 people. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and bathroom/WC. On the first floor there is a huge sitting room / dining area with oak floor and fireplace, leading to a well equipped kitchen. On the next floor is a large family bedroom with a double and 2 single beds. At one end of the room is a Victorian roll top bath and freestanding washstand. At the other end of the room is a WC and a door leading out onto a terrace and a small garden area.

'We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Dinan and the house was everything we thought it would be and more. The men enjoyed the golf and found the courses really good especially the one at Val Andre. Five of our party had not been to Brittany before and they thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - they thought the houses, food and Dinan were fantastic. They found the Brittany people very friendly and are all keen to go back at another time.Thank you for your warm welcome and for letting us rent your lovely house (JB September 2007).
