We are conveniently situated just off of the main road, 5 minutes drive into the village of Vouvant with a selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, boulangerie, mini market, post office, estate agent, gift shop, art shop and pharmacy. There is also horse riding, scenic walks around the lakes and nearby countryside. Mervent Forest is 5 minutes drive from us, which extends over 5,000 hectares. The Mervent dam forms a beautiful and vast lake. Lots of sporting activities - hiking, fishing, cycling and many water activities. There is also a Zoo at Mervent.

Bedroom 1 with double bed, wardrobe, set of drawers, bedside tables and lamps. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds, chest of drawers, lamp and chair. Bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash hand basin, toilet and vanity unit. There is also a downstairs toilet. Kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, crockery. Dining area with table and four chairs. Open plan living area, with wood burning fire. Corner settee, satellite TV in English or French and coffee table. We have a games room/laundry room with a washing machine. Linen and towels are included free of charge. We do not charge for end of stay cleaning but we do ask that you leave the property in a good clean tidy condition. |

The living area has a wood burner fire, corner settee satellite TV in English or French and coffee table. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and crockery. Downstairs bedroom 1, which has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps,french doors leading into the garden. Downstairs bathroom, which consists of wet room shower, wash hand basin and toilet. First floor:- Bedroom 2 which has double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps. Bedroom 3 which has two single beds. Bedside table with lamp. We have a games room/laundry room with a washing machine. We do not charge for end of stay cleaning but we do ask that you leave the propery in a good clean tidy condition. |

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is ideal for families of all ages. The gites have electric heating and two of the gites have wood burner fires for those colder months. Ideally situated for supermarkets and attractions.
Outside
All three gites have their own outside area, patio set and BBQ. They have access to the shared 10m x 5m salt water swimming pool, set in 1 1/2 acres of garden.
Coast/Beach
There is a man made beach at Mervent, where there are pedalos and boats available for hire. Beaches are approximately 45 - 60 minutes drive from us.

We are 5 minutes into the historic village of Vouvant, one of the most beautiful villages in France. 10 minutes drive into the large town of Fontenay-le-Comte. 10 minutes drive into the town of La Chataigneraie. 5 minutes drive into Mervent.

There are lots of attractions to visit while here in Vendee, too many to list but here are a few. Puy Du Fou. Famous throughout France, 40 hectares of land, with restaurants, shows, villages. A fantastic attraction for all ages.
Futuroscope, theme and leisure park. Green Venice. Enjoy the calm and greennees of Vendee region by renting a river boat, Poitevin Marsh. La Rochelle. Attractive and unspoilt seaside town in France - lots of history. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Beaches. La Tranche Sur Mer, one of the loveliest and unspoilt beaches. Pescalis - Nature and fishing centre in Europe.
Booking notes
Please book by contacting the owner, who will let you have a booking form, which needs to be returned with a non-refundable deposit of £150. The balance should be paid 8 weeks before the arrival date.
A security deposit is also required of £150 by cheque, in case of any damages, this should be sent separately, so we can return it within 14 days after your departure.
