The lifts at Abondance are an ideal area for children and for adults to find their feet.
90 snow canons ensure a reliable season. Passes are available for individual zones or the whole area.
All the ski areas listed are linked either directly by lifts or by regular free ski-bus services which run through the valley from Abondance to Chatel. All resorts are well served by multi-lingual ski schools offering classes at all levels for individuals and groups.

Further details
The Portes du Soleil area (a hikers’ and mountain bikers’ paradise). Rock-climbing, fishing, equestrian and trekking, paragliding and the Fantasticable zip-wire from the top of the Rochassons ski lift give endless opportunities for excitement. The fast flowing river Dranse has a white-water rafting centre (only 15 mins from Abondance village). Both Chatel and Morzine have their own swimming pools. This is a valley with a strong natural character: an amazing untouched site between Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and the Chablais mountains. A land of art and history which has managed to preserve its architectural treasures and mountain traditions. The valley is the birthplace of the Abondance cow which produces milk to make the delicious cheese of the same name. The area’s heritage is equally abundant for, throughout the ages, the valley has protected treasures such as Notre Dame Abbey with its cloisters as well as its traditional wooden and stone alpine chalets, with their carved balconies.
La Maison du Val: focusing on Abondance cheese, this eco-museum will take you on a tour of this region’s characteristics, its history and country life.

It's that time of year again when we are thinking of the mountains and your wonderful chalet!
Had such a great time at your chalet in September, now eager to return now that the snow is beginning to fall.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love Abondance because of the fantastic year round activities in the area. The area is stunningly beautiful all year round. Winter sports December to April with summer walking and an almost Mediterranean feel down by lac Leman. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Geneva airport less than an hour and 20 mins drive away.
