The house is situated on the edge of the charming wine village of Meursault, which boasts a number of shops, bars and restaurants. You are five minutes walk from the village square but at the same time just a few metres away from the rolling vineyards of the Cote D'Or. The property is decorated in a chic, contemporary style and the large windows at the back of the property give the living room and kitchen diner an abundance of natural light and a bright, airy
feel. There is also a stone walled garden where guests can relax and eat. The garden is planted with culinary herbs that can be used for cooking.

Outside
We have a lovely garden with a collection of herbs that you can use for your cooking (help yourself!) and an old cherry tree. Surrounded by high stone walls, it's quiet and secluded and we have a table and chair for outside dining on the patio and 2 sun loungers for sunbathers. There's also a barbecue of course, stored neatly in the out house at the back.

Once you have contacted us, we will get back to you promptly with details of the property's availability. If available, we will ask you for 20% of the full fee as a deposit. The balance plus a £100 refundable deposit for breakage will be required 8 weeks before the holiday. We can accept payment via Paypal or BACS transfer.

About the owner
I and my wife, Sarah, both work in the TV industry in the UK. We've always loved French wine and this is the first of a number of properties we want to rent in the great wine regions of the country.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We love Burgundy as there is such a variety of wine styles in such short stretch of land and we chose Meursault because its a typical and beautiful old village and the white wine capital of the area. There are over 50 winemakers who offer tastings here and a number of good restaurants within a few minutes walking distance from the house. All the great villages of the Cote D'Or are a short drive away and medieval Beaune, the area's major town, is just 10-15 minutes drive from the house.
Unique benefits of the property
We feel the property offers a chic, contemporary style in an area where most properties are more traditional in design. Our recently completed renovation has created a lot of natural light in the kitchen, dining and living areas. The secluded, walled garden has been redesigned and is the perfect place to relax and to have a meal or a barbecue. We have a number of fresh herbs growing which you are free to use in your cooking too! If you are a wine lover, there's also a small wine library.
