Newly constructed 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of a picturesque port, in idyllic Southern Brittany. The apartment has a large (35m2) terrace which faces south-west and is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your evening meal while watching the sun go down. Etel lies halfway between Vannes and Lorient and is close to magnificent sandy beaches, surf spots and the beautiful Golfe du Morbihan. The apartment is perfectly situated in the heart of Etel within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and bars, but is extremely quiet nevertheless. Completely redecorated in February 2011, the apartment is furnished and decorated in a contemporary style. Easily accessible from ferry routes, road or rail, the apartment is a perfect all year-round base from where to explore the beautiful coastline of southern Brittany.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has electric heating. Strictly no smokers or pets. The apartment is available to book for long stays of up to 6 months from 1 October - 31 March. The price for a winter let is €650 Euros per month. For further information regarding winter lets please contact the owner.
Outside
The apartment has a large (35m2) terrace which faces south-west. Patio furniture is provided and consists of a table and 4 chairs, 2 sun loungers and a parasol.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 200m from the apartment. The area around Etel is a protected National Park with miles of golden sandy beaches. The Cote Sauvage of the Quiberon Peninsula provides windsurfing and water sports activities. The glorious safe, sandy beaches of Carnac are a 10 minute drive away. In Etel there is a small, safe sea water lagoon surrounded by a sandy beach, swings etc which is ideal for small children. The dunes along the coast are a paradise for bird watchers.
Golf
The nearest golf course is the 18 hole, 5128m Golf de Saint Laurent which is close to Ploemel, approx 6km from Etel.
Travel
Lorient airport is ½ hour drive away from the apartment, flights from the UK to Lorient are via Paris. Brest Airport offers direct flights from UK regional airports. The port of Roscoff is 2½ hours drive to the north. The ports of Cherbourg and Caen are 4 hours away by a good road network. The TGV connects to Auray which is 20 mins from Etel. There is a direct bus link from Auray railway station to Etel, 50m from the apartment.
Distances
The town of Auray is the nearest large town to Etel, 20 mins by car. The historic city of Vannes lies ½ hour to the east with its ancient walls and modern commercial areas. Lorient is ½ hour to the west with an array of modern shops, theatres and museums. Carnac and its famous standing stones is 10 mins drive.
Further details
Etel has a full range of local shops and banks, bakery, butchers etc, together with a small supermarket. There is a large choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. At the port boat trips can be taken up the beautiful River Etel or sea fishing trips. Wind surfing and sailing tuition is available 100m from the apartment and there are tennis courts for public hire a short walking distance away. There is surfing and land yachting hire and tuition 5 mins drive away at Plouharnel. There are numerous horse riding establishments in the area. Etel has a small cinema which shows a variety of films during the summer season.
