La Grange is a large 300 year old converted barn that combines rural French character with its stone masonry and exposed oak beams with all the trappings of a contemporary stylish living space. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms arranged over 2 floors, sleeping 8 comfortably (or 10 if the sofabed is used). Open plan living area with galleried landing. TV with British satellite TV channels and DVD player. La Petite Maison is a charming converted cottage with many original features and oak beams. The accommodation is arranged over 2 floors with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well appointed kitchen, dining and living area. Both properties enjoy the used of a heated 10m swimming pool which is great for kids and adults complimented by plenty of outside space for relaxing and al fresco style dining. Super views over the surrounding countryside.

Notes on accommodation
Both properties have a separate downstairs cloakroom. Both properties have the linen and bathroom towels provided. Cots and highchairs are also available. This is a non smoking property and no pets allowed.

Accessibility
Suitable for the elderly and infirm La Grange has a downstairs bedroom suite.

Outside
Both properties enjoy the use of the 10m heated outside pool. This is situated just in front of the properties enjoying the breath taking views. The pool is fully enclosed and safe with tables, chairs and loungers located around it. Both properties enjoy an outside eating area complete with barbecue for alfresco style eating.

Coast/Beach
You can canoe down the beautiful river Vienne which flows past the end of the property. About 30 minutes by car are the river beaches.

Golf
Tennis and golf can be found within easy driving distances.

Special interest holidays
Horse riding and fishing is also available near-by.

Travel
La Grange and La Petite Maisin can be reached either by car, train or by air. Limoges, Poitiers and Angouleme (summer months only) all have international airports with flights to the UK. Car hire is readily available. There is also a train station in Limoges for the SNCF/Eurostar.

Distances
The pretty and historic town of Confolens is a short drive away, while our nearest larger towns are Limoges, Poitiers or Angouleme, from where you get train and air services to and from the UK. There is a bakery in Manot village - a 3 minute drive away!

August 2010 - We would certainly return to Manot Cottages.
September 2010 - The best aspect of the holiday was the tranquility and the pool.
