200 year old stone farmhouse which has been renovated keeping many original features such as oak beams and wood floors. If you like home cooking in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place for you. 30km from Limoges, capital city of Haute Vienne. 2 mins from Chateauneuf la Foret with its shops, lake and beach. This hamlet is set in rolling hills with beautiful woodland walks on doorstep. Peaceful farming community, spectacular scenery over hills and valleys. Property has been owned by English couple for six years. English and French spoken.

Notes on accommodation
Electric central heating.
Young children need to be supervised as windows are large (see photos) and could be dangerous if left open and children unattended. However, shutters are fitted and should be used when children sleeping alone in room.
Accessibility
As this room is on the first floor and requires access via a flight of stairs we are sorry to have to say it will not be suitable to those who have difficulty climbing stairs.
Outside
mature garden with fruit trees giving shade for relaxing in Summer. Barbeques during summer months. Aperitifs outside enjoyed before dinner at table.
Coast/Beach
5 mins drive from lake, beach and play area for children.
During school holidays (July/August) there is a lifeguard on beach every day. Beach is man made, clean and well kept. Water is monitored regularly for health and safety. There is a bar nearby for refreshments.
Golf
30-40 mins drive to courses at Limoges.
Travel
Limoges Bellegarde airport 45 minutes drive. 460 miles drive from Calais. Car hire available and recommended at airport. Route from airport sent via email on request
Distances
2kms to Chateauneuf la Foret, 17 kms to Eymoutiers or St. Leonard de Noblat, 30 kms from Limoges. Medieval towns, porcelain factories, Limoges Cathedral and old city and many more.
Further details
Half an hour's drive away is the largest man made lake in this area (Lac Vassiviere), definitely a must for a day out. Breathtaking scenery en route, excellent restaurant, beaches, water sports and even a dotto train across to the island.
Chateauneuf has banks, doctors, dentists, bars and cafes as well as bakers, a supermarket and estate agent.
