There are lawned gardens for relaxing, sun beds provided, there is also a boules piste and badminton area. Woodland walks are literally within 20 paces of your front door! Nearby, a superb open air pool is available at Pontivy (July/August) 5 mins in the car or lakes with bathing/beach areas only 15 minutes.

Prices are for the properties per week in UK pounds.
Changeover day
Saturday changeover days are preferred but we realise mid week crossings and flights are often a cheaper option and will endeavor to meet your requirements. The accommodation should be available after 4pm and vacated before 10am.
Notes on accommodation
The whole accommodation has been recently renovated and finished to a very high standard with a wealth of exposed timbers and stylish complementary antique furniture. Fully insulated and double glazed with electric heating throughout should you need it. Water, gas and logs are included in the price but electricity is via a coin slot meter and usually costs around 15 euros per week in the summer lets (without heating). We regret we cannot except pets and the accommodation is non-smoking.
Outside
Quelvehin stands in its own grounds of over 5 hectares with lots of wildlife on your doorstep, not to mention our own herd of Peruvian alpacas to charm and amuse you.
Coast/Beach
Centrally situated you can access all coast lines. The nearest being the Gulf of Morbihan which is about 50 minutes by car. The northern coast is a little further at around 1hr 15 mins.
Golf
If golf is your thing there is a wonderful 9 hole course Golf du Rimaison about 15 minutes away. Green fees are 25 euros for the day so go around as often as you like. Equipment is available to hire at a minimal charge and the staff are English speaking.

We can offer Alpaca introduction day for anyone interested in owning Alpacas. With hands on instruction on handling and husbandry, fleece recognition and spinning courses. See our website for further information.
Travel
Quelvéhin is approximately two hours drive from the ferry ports of Saint-Malo or Roscoff and 1 hour 40 minutes from Dinard airport (where hire cars can be obtained). There are also airports at Rennes (1h30), and Nantes (2h15). Ryanair offer very reasonably priced flights to Dinard from Stansted and East Midlands airports - well worth a look.
Booking notes
Payments can be by bank transfer or cheque. A deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance six weeks prior to your arrival date. We also ask for a refundable security deposit of £100.
Guest comments
Thank you for a lovely week in your wonderful gite. We have really enjoyed the peace and quiet and our 2 year old has loved all the animals and the train set! We really had a great time exploring the lake, the beach at Guidel, Branfrere zoo and Pontivy. What a shame we didn't see the alpaca baby that was due this week. Hope to be back. What a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place you have created for the young and old to enjoy. Days filled with birds singing, walks in the woods, investigating the bog and evenings sitting by the fire watching Wallace and Gromit and then out for a midnight walk to stargaze! Pure pleasure for our family. Jack and Ella could stay here and live a life in the country caring for the alpacas and chickens with shaft and the cats at their side in a heartbeat. Ella especially has a love and passion for your alpacas. It was wonderful to see her so happy and excited!

Steven and Jayne are 50 somethings with two, now not so small children. We have a passion for the countryside and share our space with 35 alpacas, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a few chickens. Our move to Brittany enabled us to embrace a new life style and slower pace of life of which we hope to share a little with you.

We chose to live at Quelvehin because of its quiet remote setting and yet only a few kilometres from all the amenities you could need in a big town like Pontivy.
