Spacious, privately owned chalet apartment on two floors in the lovely alpine village of Les Allues, 5km from Meribel and linked to the pistes at Meribel by a fast 6 person gondola lift. From the chalet it is just 10 mins easy walk to the gondola lift - the 'Villages' piste makes it possible to ski back at the end of the day. Les Marmottes has been inspected by the tourist office and awarded 'Label Meribel' for alpine style and modern amenities. There is plenty of space to chill out after a day on the pistes, plenty of space for dining and relaxing. You will find everything you need for a really comfortable holiday as welll as little luxuries not normally found in self-catered apartments such as bathrobes and complimentary toiletries… you will love the space, cosiness and stunning mountain views!

A £180 non-refundable booking deposit secures your booking, with the balance of rental to be paid 10 weeks before the holiday. Booking less than 10 weeks before holiday - full amount is due.
Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday in high season, but in low season short breaks and flexible arrival/departure days are often possible, please see our own website for further details.

Everything is carefully prepared for you, pre-arrival cleaning, beds made up and towels laid out. Towelling bathrobes and complimentary toiletries are included. End of stay cleaning (2.5 hrs) is included in the rental. Grocery delivery available. |
Notes on accommodation
Les Marmottes is on 2 floors (65 sq.m.) and will sleep 6. It is ideal for small groups and couples with double beds or twins.
Bedlinen, towels, electricity and end cleaning are included in the rental as well as towelling bathrobes (for adults), hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. Beds are made up ready for your arrival.
Facilities include: Washing machine/tumble dryer; dishwasher; tv and x box (2 controllers); stereo music system with mp3 player socket; at extra cost - internet access with own laptop.
There is a basement ski locker and a luggage storage room for those arriving early. Bikes can be stored in the basement ski room. Cots and highchairs can easily be hired locally from our agency or from the creche just one minute's walk from the chalet.

Accessibility
Regrettably the apartment is not accessible to those with impaired mobility due to stairs up from the entrance at road level and the stairs inside the apartment.
Outside
VILLAGE AMENITIES: 3 minutes walk to the nearest restaurant, village grocery shop 4 mins walk. Parking is in the private car park next to the chalet. In winter families enjoy sledging at the bottom of the village ski run.
SUMMER: The chalet has a shared grassy garden area at rear, ideal for sunbathing (unfenced, care needed with children).
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach for swimming is at an alpine lake at Bozel, approx. 20 mins drive - sandy beach, lifeguards, cafe. Good beaches for swimming also available at Lake Anecy, 45 mins drive.
Golf
Beautiful 18 hole golf course just 8 minutes drive from the apartment, open from May to October, with driving range and practice bunkers. Golf lessons are available for adults and children.
Skiing
Les Allues (1100m) is situated in the Trois Vallees - a world renowned ski area with 600km of pisted skiing, Extensive snowmaking and high-altitude skiing with a glacier makes this a snow-sure area.
A 10% discount is available on ski hire for our guests, with delivery available to the apartment. The pistes are accessed from Les Allues via the 6 person Olympe gondola - a 10 minute easy walk from the chalet - taking you to La Chaudanne in Meribel, a pisted area with a choice of lifts enabling you to link with all areas of the Trois Vallees.
Ski school meeting place at Chaudanne & ski kindergarten. The fast lift system enables you to ski to Courchevel, Val Thorens, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and La Tania.
At the end of the day you can return to Les Allues via the Villages piste, snow conditions permitting, from where it is a two-minute walk to the chalet, or via the gondola or free shuttle bus. Les Allues has restaurants, bars, ski hire shop, supermarket, creche etc.
Travel
Choice of airports - Geneva, Lyon, Chambery. Eurostar train to Moutiers (15 minute transfer to chalet).Minibus or taxi transfers bookable in advance. If arriving early in the day luggage storage is available in the chalet basement. Driving from UK - the journey is on fast French motorways and driving time from Calais is just over 9 hours. Parking is in the private car park next to the chalet. In winter car not necessary, in summer a car will enable you to fully explore this beautiful area.
Distances
Geneva airport to chalet 2 hours 15 mins. Lyon airport to chalet 1 hour 50 mins, Chambery 1 hour - all airports served by flights from UK, please see owner's website. Moutiers Rail Station (direct service by Eurostar) 15 mins drive from chalet. Transfers available by minibus and taxi. Lake Annecy 45 mins. Annecy town 1 hour approx.
Further details
Nearest Shop - 4 minute walk (small village supermarket selling fresh croissants, baguettes local wines and other specialities). The friendly village bar, La Tsarretta, is a lively village meeting place and has delicious home-made pizzas, pool table, Sky TV and live entertainment during the winter. There is also a bistro-style restaurant upstairs.
Food Delivery and Catering - groceries can be ordered with a local company ready for your arrival. Delicious cooked meals can also be ordered and delivered to the chalet ready to eat.
Childcare - Winter: creche and nanny service in Les Allues, just one minute's walk from the apartment.
Restaurants/bars -choice of 5 in Les Allues. Nearest restaurant/bar is 3 mins walk.
In summer mountain bikes can be hired locally, and instruction is available in all outdoor activities. Children's activities include mountain biking, abseiling, rafting, canoeing, archery, golf, climbing and treks in the mountains, as well as swimming, tennis, horseriding, skate park etc.
Booking notes
A booking deposit of £180 is required to secure your booking, with the balance of rental being due 10 weeks before the holiday. You must be at least 21 years old to make a booking. For bookings within 10 weeks of the arrival date the full amount is due on booking.
