The house is situated just above the charming village of Bargemon, 1 hour to Nice Airport. We are between the sea and the mountains, giving a lovely climate in summer and a sea breeze even on the hottest days of summer it pleasant here. The village has eight restaurants charming fountains and small shops, all short from the house. We have home grow organic vegetables which you are welcome to help yourselves to. We feel very fortunate to be in this beautiful area. There are markets in all the nearby villages and including Bargemon, and large supermarkets in all the towns. We have solar heating on the pool so swimming is normally possible for nearly half the year. It is a very lovely area, with wine makers, and excellent Rosé and reds as near le Muy just 15 to 20 minutes drive. Also a 3 star restaurant and lots of smaller restaurants. We also have golf in le Muy, and at Ste Maxime we have a list of good beach places, do phone if there are treks for walkers, and some mountain bike treks.

Changeover day
We do changeover days on Saturdays, it is only possible to make exception to this for the first or last renters in summer.

Bedrooms: Bedrooms 1, 2 and 4 with double bed.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds.
All bedrooms have French windows and open to balcony or downstairs bedroom onto the terrace - the pool is this level (not suitable young children).
Bathrooms: 2 x bedrooms have large bathrooms with full baths and separate showers.
Downstairs bedroom has shower room, loo and sink.
There is also downstairs cloakroom.
Kitchen: Two x ovens, plate warmer, microwave over, hob. and dishwasher, (washing machine is upstairs ironing board. The kitchen opens out to BBQ and is opposite the outdoor Salon. There is a centre counter for preparing or having a coffee, plus TV.
Utility Room: Washing machine is new Bosch machine with short cycle, (what a relief) and ironing board, drying lines.
Living Rooms: The Salon has four French windows, all on level of swimming pool, a sound system, large fireplace, TV. Sky box card. it is very comfortable and suitable for indoor outdoor living.
Other: There is also an outdoor Salon by the pool, which is resent addition although with old oak beams looks very much older, and has the very best views in Bargemon.

Sheets and towels are all available, at laundry charges for the sheets, normally we don't charge for towel cleaning, unless it is excessive and can not be washed in one change over.

Notes on accommodation
We have full heating, (for winter lets of course). We have cots and chairs swings for children. The house is most suitable for 6 adults, one bedroom is more suitable for children as it has twin beds and some exercise machines.

Accessibility
The house is set up to suit mobility problems; it has a downstairs bedroom with shower, bars and chair built-in especially for that purpose. The bedroom and bathroom are completely, and are set up to suit wheelchair access. The rest of the house also on same level (except all the other bedrooms and bathrooms, the terrace around the house is also on same level, making it easy to get outside.

Outside
The house opens to garden terrace and pool all on one level, we have home grown organic vegetables, for you to enjoy, and a door at the bottom of garden we call the croissant gate, five minutes walk to the boulangerie, our guests love that, to pop out for croissant and newspaper in the morning.

We have barbeque and all outdoor areas in or out of the sun, the garden is very private although so close to the village. The pool is a danger for young children who cannot swim.

Coast/Beach
Ste Maxime or Frejus, or Ste Agulf are about 45 minutes drive. St Tropez is just 8 miles, but traffic is heavy in summer and we tend to go take a small ferry from Ste Maxime which is a quick and very pretty trip of just 20 minutes We know several beach restaurants which we can recommend.

Golf
In Le Muy, there is a lovley golf course called Saint Endréol 20 mins. Or the famous Four Seasons golf at Fayence. 25mins

Skiing
Skking is 35 minutes to the nearest ski station, and on to Foux d' Alos is one hour and half from Bargmon.

Travel
Nice is I hour and 10 minutes drive from the house. Also Toulon the same distance. Marseille airport is 2 hours. If you intend to drive our exit is Le Muy Draguignan.

Distances
Bargemon is one of a number of hilltop villages, in the area, Callas 6km. Seillans 12km and little further Fayence, Montauroux and Callian, they are all have pretty outdoor markets on different days of the week.

Draguigan is a larger town with more shopping and all the large supermarkets, shops, and busy market days.

Further details
The village here has hair Salon and a bank, but for cash point, Callas is the nearest at 6km. We have green grocer, butcher and boulangerie, all right here. gift shop and lovely potterie shop, also some internationally known art galleries.

Booking notes
A deposit is required of 25% of full payment, the rest is due 8 weeks before arrival. Bank transfer is the usual method, though sterling cheques can be accepted.

About the owner
We live here most of the year, Gerard is a keen Gardner and you can eat has organic vegetables. We both feel incredibly fortunate to live, in this beautiful area, I wanted the house before I even walked inside, because of the views, t was an added bonus, that it was also a lovely stone house with large rooms, we have never had renters who did not like it here. Most of them come back each year.

Unique benefits of the property
The house is just above the village, giving the advantage of walking distance to restaurants or in the morning for Croissants and Newspaper, they most British papers daily. Our visitors love that aspect It is the house closest to the village with private pool and garden, or so I am told! there are good restaurants and small shops, and 15 minutes drive to a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Also wine vineyards where you can buy a excellent choice of local wine. The Rosé of this area has become a great success and won medals Bronce and d'Or in Paris. We are situated between the mountains and the sea, so there is a breeze in the afternoon, which makes the climate very pleasant, even in mid summer.
