We have carefully and thoughtfully converted 18th century buildings to provide unique and interesting accommodation. All our gites are furnished and finished to an excellent standard, with high quality sofas, beds, linen, towels and kitchenware. They are all equipped with Hansgrohe showers, Bosch dishwashers and ovens and Weber barbecues. Our heated swimming pool has a contra-flow current for serious swimmers and the surrounding terraces and lawns have ample loungers and shade. The outdoor games area has table tennis, boules, skittles, badminton and a childrens play area. Our indoor games room has a pool/snooker table, scalextric, table football and an extensive library area from which you are welcome to borrow or swap books. There is a multi gym and x-trainer for the fitness enthusiast. From magnificent chateaux or a state of the art theme park to the calm serenity of the Brenne National Park, all these and more within easy driving distance.

This property has a spectacular stone fireplace and galleried landing, it also boasts huge oak beams in the living area. Downstairs The living area has a stunning fireplace with wood burning stove and is comfortably furnished with 3 leather sofas and dining room suite. There is satellite TV, and dvd/cd player. The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridgefreezer. There is a bedroom with twin beds and a large shower room, with 900mm shower, wash basin and WC. Upstairs There are 3 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 double and 1 twin bedded. All rooms have beautiful views across our extensive grounds. There is an en-suite shower room from the double bedroom with shower, wash basin and WC, a further main bathroom with bath and shower over, wash basin and WC. Peuplier (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6)

Peuplier (Poplar) is an ancient detached cottage with beautiful interior features. The property has 3 very large bedrooms (one en-suite) and a spacious open plan living area with original beams. Downstairs The open plan living area contains a stunning reclaimed fireplace which is over 300 years old, log burning stove and original oak beams It is comfortably furnished with leather sofas and chair and dining room suite. There is satellite TV, and DVD/CD player. The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridgefreezer. There is also a large bedroom with a king size bed and an en-suite with superb Hansgrohe shower, wash basin and WC. Upstairs There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with king sized bed and 1 twin bedded. Both rooms are very large and contain beautiful original wooden beams. There is a large bathroom with freestanding bath, shower, wash basin. Separate WC and hand basin. Outside Secluded terrace area with garden furniture and BBQ. |

Bouleau (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2)

Bouleau (Birch) was built in 1786 and is now a lovely spacious 1 bedroomed gite ideal for a couple. The property is all on one level with only one step up to the front door. As with all our accommodation it is finished to a very high standard. Accommodation As you enter the gite there is a well appointed kitchen area with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge. There is an open plan living area with leather sofa, satellite tv, dvd/cd player as well as a dining table and chairs. The bedroom contains a King sized bed, wardrobe and bed side cabinets. The large bathroom has a freestanding bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. Outside there is a terrace area with garden furniture and BBQ. |

Notes on accommodation
All bed linen and house towels are included. The large gites are centrally heated and have log burning stoves, the 1 bedroom gite has electric radiators, making them all suitable for winter use. We can provide cots/mattress and highchairs on request, however we do not provide bedding or pillows for the cots.
Saule and Chene although completely separate share a large atrium as an entrance making them particularly well suited for large parties of up to 14 people.
Accessibility
All our properties except Saule have ground floor bedrooms, however there is one step into the properties.
Outside
Each gite has its own terrace area with garden furniture and BBQ. Our heated swimming pool (10m*5m) has a contra-flow current for serious swimmers and the surrounding terraces and lawns have ample loungers and shade. The outdoor games area has table tennis, boules, skittles, badminton and a childrens play area. Our indoor games room has a pool/snooker table, scalextric, table football and an extensive library area from which you are welcome to borrow or swap books. There is a multi gym and x-trainer for the fitness enthusiast.
Golf
We have 3 local golf courses, one 9 and two 18 hole (one tree-lined) all within 30 minutes drive. The courses tend to be quiet and reasonably priced.
Travel
Tours and Poitiers airports are around a 1 hour drive with Limoges airport being about 1 hour 45 minutes. Car hire can be obtained at all the airports. The nearest ports are Caen and Le Harve, about 4 hours drive or Calais/Channel tunnel is about 6 hours drive.
Distances
Chatillon-sur-Indre is the nearest town, about 9 km and has supermarkets, banks, chemists etc.
Further details
Clion and Azey-le-Ferron are about the same distance and have good boulangeries and small supermarkets. They all have cafes and restaurants, there is also a michelin star restaurant at nearby Le Petit Pressigny.
There is a large twice weekly market in the nearby medieval town of Loches, which also boasts a magnificent chateau and "donjon".
We are situation 10 minutes from Haute Touche, the largest zoological park in France with over 1000 animals within its 500 hectares. This heralds the beginning of the Brenne National Parc famous for its lakes and wildlife. A more conventional zoo is located 40km away at St-Aignan. The Beauval Zoological Park is among France's best. It contains over 4,000 animals including several white tigers.
The stunning chateaux of the Loire valley, rich in history and heritage including Villandry, Chenonceau and Amboise amongst others, are all within easy reach.
For all the family there is Futuroscope, a unique combination of interactive games, state of the art cinema and live entertainment.
There are a large number of activities available such as walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, Golf, Go-karting and canoeing.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A refundable security deposit of £200 per property is payable with the final balance payment.

About the owner
My husband and I were living in Lyon - France. After many years travelling everywhere around the world for business, we decided to look for a new place to live in the peaceful French countryside. And we have fallen in love with this fabulous piece of land, with lovely houses, trees and people. I am a native of this area and I enjoy a lot sharing about history, culture and nature of this beautiful region. My husband has sold his HR consultancy and doesn't work anymore. I hold a senior management position in an international company. I speak English, German, Spanish and French. We are now extremely happy to live at La Richaudière with our cat Penelope, farmer's horses in our field, red sqarrels and birds from the Brenne Natural Regional Park.

Our gites are located in a lovely unspoilt region of France however we are still well located for all the main tourist attractions of the Loire.

Within our 12 acres there is plenty of room for everyone to have privacy or to join their neighbours if they would prefer.
The gites are well located for the many attractions that the region offers. Within an hour's drive you can reach many of Loire chateaux, Tours and Futurescope as well as enjoy many activities for all the family.
