Sleeps 4/5. Three bedroom Cellermasters house located at the entrance of Domaine Treloar. The light and newly renovated house features a modern kitchen, two lounge areas and your own private garden with BBQ. Located on the edge of the village with its own parking and private access. Enjoy 6 bottles of our wine and a free winery/wine tasting during your stay with Jon. Relax and watch the life of a real wine domaine in action. Access the beaches, lakes, castles, the city of Perpignan and Spain within 30 mins.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Long term lets at a reduced rate are also available.
For bookings of more than 4 people there will be a £50 surcharge on top of the weekly rate for the 5th person only etc.
Changeover day
Prefer Tuesdays or Thursdays as this allows you to enjoy cheap flights from Ryanair and you can enjoy the local Saturday markets. But we are very flexible.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning unit available on request at extra charge. Electric heaters are in each room.
Stairgate is in place with travel cot, baby bath, highchair, toys, baby/toddler backpacks for walking - these are all available in the gite.
Outside
Private garden with BBQ and outdoor furniture. Also use of the Domaine's grounds and their small dipping pool - great for kids but nice to dip in to keep cool (3 round x 1m high) and the children's playground.
Coast/Beach
The sandy beaches at St Cyprien, Canet and Argeles are only 30 mins drive away. The beautiful Cote Vermeille villages of Collioure, Port Vendres and Banyuls are 45 mins by car.
Golf
St Cyprien 20 mins.
Skiing
Although not in the mountains, the Pyrenean ski resorts can be reached within 1.5 hours, making it quite easy to enjoy a day on the slopes during the season (December to April).
Special interest holidays
As part of your weeks stay you are more than welcome to join a wine tour free of charge which includes wine tasting and learning about wine from award-winning Winemaker and Viticulturist Jonathan Hesford at Domaine Treloar - please see our website for details. Lunch is optional extra.
Art and cookery courses can also be arranged, advance booking is necessary for these.

Perpignan airport 30 mins drive. Girona airport 50-70 mins drive.
Distances
Thuir 10 mins. Castlenou 15 mins. Perpignan 20 mins. Ceret 30 mins. Collioure 45 mins. Figueres 40 mins. Font-Romeu 1.5 hours.
Further details
Walk to the local Boulangerie, epicerie, pharmacy, pizzeria, cafe/bar, post office, tennis courts, bouledrome and village playground. Walk though the vineyards and orchards on your doorstep where you can buy fresh produce direct. There is also a horse riding centre in the village. During the summer the open air pool at Thuir is 10 minutes drive.

About the owner
Domaine Treloar is owned and operated by Englishman Jonathan Hesford and his Kiwi wife, Rachel Treloar who bought the wine domaine in Jan 2006. We are a small, high quality wine producing estate in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France which was recently rated as one of Jancis Robinson's favourite 30 wine domains in this region. We have two children, our friendly dog Sam and two cats.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Excited by the great wines being made by other pioneering producers, we decided upon the Languedoc-Roussillon in the South of France. The requirements were very specific and we were lucky to find a property that met all our desires - even if it needed a huge amount of work. In January 2006 we bought an ancient winery and several parcels of mature vines around the village of Trouillas in the Aspres region of the Roussillon. The House was part of the Domaine and located at the entrance. In 2009 we started work renovating the house and preparing it for our future guests.
