La Grange is situated in the beautiful Perigord Vert region of South West France. It is set in 8 acres of mature grounds and with beautiful views over the Perigordian countryside. La Grange was originally a farmhouse which can trace its history back to the first half of the 17th Century when it was part of the local priory. La Grange offers a choice of 3 holiday cottages overlooking a peaceful central courtyard with easy access to the pool. La grange is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

Our bookings run from Saturday to Saturday, arriving after 4pm and leaving before 11am. However this can be flexible according to needs.

La Taniere (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6)

La Taniere is a very unusual higgledy, piggledy house.It has 3 bedrooms, (one double, 2 twins), an open plan living/dining area, with a wood burner in the living area, a fully equipped galley kitchen, with fridge, microwave, cooker etc. (there is a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryer), and a shower room. The bedrooms are all on the first floor which are heavily timbered. Outside in the courtyard, La Taniere has a private and pretty sheltered dining area. |

La Maison du Jardin (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)

La Maison du Jardin is set back slightly from the main courtyard, with its own private summer dining area. This is a very pretty cottage covered in roses! The accommodation on a single level, consists of an airy living/dining room with an open plan kitchen area, 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) and a shower room. The living area has exposed beams and an imposing fireplace with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, cooker and microwave. There is a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers. |

Notes on accommodation
All of the houses welcome children, it is a safe environment, where children can play, in the courtyard, or in the grounds. We can provide cots, bedding and baby/ toddler toys, such as seesaw, slide, splash pool etc. All linen is provided including towels. Linen and towels can be changed weekly. Cleaning can be organised.
Outside
Our pool is 6x12m, it is fitted with the regulation approved alarm and enclosed, although parents are still expected to watch their children. We have a games room, situated on the sun terrace, equipped with table tennis, tabletop games such as scrabble, lots of books as well as plenty of outdoor games, such as boules, and croquet! We have a very pretty sun terrace, with outdoor furniture and umbrellas provided. Barbecues are also provided. We also provide bikes for those who feel energetic and the need to venture beyond La Grange.
Coast/Beach
Within easy reach of us, Aubeterre, Lisle and St Aulaye all have beaches on the river Dronne with safe swimming. At La Jemaye (20kms) there is a freshwater lake where windsurfers, pedalos and so forth can be hired.
Royan (100km) about 1.5hrs a seaside town.
Arcachon about the same distance, good for surfing!
Golf
There are a number of golf courses within easy reach.
Chateau Longeveau 9 hole, challenging. Good facilities including tennis courts.
Perigeueux, 18 hole parkland course with lots of water on the back nine.
Cognac,(1.25hrs) 18 hole parkland/vinyard. One of the best golf courses in S.W.France. Approx cost 30 Euros per day!
Other courses within 1-2 hours drive include La Rochelle (links course) Chateau Villiars, Bordeaux (2 courses). At all these courses guest players are welcome and in most cases no handicap certificate is required.
Travel
Bergerac about 60kms (1hr) and Bordeaux 110kms (1.75hrs)
Normandy ports (Caen, Le Havre or Cherbourg) approximately 6-7 hours. St Malo 5hrs, Calais 9-10 hours.
Use of car is essential.
Distances
La Grange is between 2 villages, Verteillac and Bertric-Buree, both are 2.5km 40 mins walking, and provide restaurants, bars, bakers, butchers, bank and the shop that sells everything.
Nearest market town Riberac and supermarkets 10 mins drive. There are many places of interest close to us as well as some being a bit of a drive away.
Further details
There are numerous extremely good restaurants within a few minutes drive. Large supermarkets (2) are in Riberac along with banks, newsagents, shops, bars, restaurants, etc..
We also have quite a few equestrian places locally. We provide bikes for those who fancy an off road adventure. There are also plenty of walking trails.

Once you have decided to stay with us, fill out the booking form send a 25% deposit to secure booking with final payment due 6 weeks before arrival due date.
